If we are changing abilities like swipe now without using runes then thunderclap needs to be helped as well. Thunderclap is so bad that even with a rune dedicated to it, it is still worthless.

What do you hate about it so much?
Add the Blood and Thunder effect to TC.
If you’re fixing swipe and thunderclap may as well fix shadowcleave and shuriken toss too.
