Check my io and runs from dragon flight.
I wasn’t arguing about macros though. He said whoever does their opener the best skyrockets to the top and that’s not true. It plays a part of course but RNG is…like the other half.
If you have Low DPS, leave it to the pros and role a tank or healer – something actually positive to the M+ ecosystem
Stuff like Hekili is probably why we have folks so high up doing so poorly. These players need accountability and forced reflexes. Not big buttons in the middle of their screen telling them what to press.
You can literally look at logs and see the difference if you want to also. There’s options.
Bad healers and tanks are going to improve much for everyone.
Ok but it reads like you’re saying only RNG matters.
And I mean… RNG is always going to be a factor in EVERY PART of the game. Bringing it up here just feels like you’re trying to focus on minutia just so you can say “welllll llllll tecchhnniicallllyyyy…”
When we know what he’s saying.
You’re not wrong, it just reads poorly.
This. This above all else.
It is immediately a tell if someone is awful when you see them cast, and they just stand there for 2-4 seconds before using another ability.
Please. Please just do ANYTHING, even if unoptimal.
It’s so crazy how many groups I’ve been in where the healer is just so clearly overwhelmed. People will stay at like 40-60% health for upwards of 8-10 seconds, even when there’s no other real damage going out.
I just don’t understand how people just freeze up. (And this is often 2600 io people too, which isn’t insanely high, but it’s definitely high enough that you should know your rotation at the very least).
they’re easier classes to play than DPS. if said bad DPS player decided to pick up a healer or tank and not do well, well then they’re better off uninstalling the game because we dont want them here. So it would be a good indicator of who we want to force out of our community. Usually its easy to target toxicity to tanks and healers leading to uninstalls, etc.
Fili and Kili’s special cousin.
in single target, I was curious. used hekili to get gold parses. it’s generally great at single target.
knowledge of fight and AE is when it is less useful. to many variables to program for.
don’t rely on it long term. but use it as a tool and it’s just fine.
sometimes I have it up to the side so I can turn my mind off during reclears or if there is a specific mechanic coming up I need to pay attention to.
It is class and sometimes even spec dependent. Its best to think of it as training wheels. It will tell you what to do but it can’t instantly adjust to aoe or tell you when you need to hold cds.
You can easily get to 80% output using the meta spec with it.
oh definitely. that is all I was trying to imply.
single target sustained it’s great any additional variables it needs a larger human touch.
a good training wheels exercise though
The game doesn’t generate useful logs on its own and I’ve yet to figure out the hoops one has to jump through to get them.
As far as I’m concerned, given I just want to improve myself, hekili and details is good enough and a lot less hassle.
It has an option for pure AOE rotation. So if you see AOE you look at that one and if it’s single you look at the single rotation
I know people who have Hekili and it doesn’t help them somehow /shrug
My tank will continue to match/surpass at least one DPSer, sometimes two in a +10 farm until I unsub. Game’s boring when I look like the only one trying, from solid facts/metrics.
Apparently blizz is suspending people who leave groups with trash dps.
May give this Helili a whirl, curious to see how it works for Fire Mage.
Holy crap, they are actually doing it. After all these years.
i use it because i do not want to learn boom at all. whenever i have to dps, i just pray i can not derp it up too badly.
not that boom is hard. i just wanna be lazy and stubborn (what do you want? i’m old)
This would be the reason I would use it if I ever had to switch to Shadow. Can’t be bothered.
