Curious for anyone who wants to or has moved onto another class, which you picked and why ?
Hunter has been my main since vanilla. Sometimes I’ve played alts but ended up coming back to my hunter, just been the class I’ve liked best and most comfortable with.
In BFA I’ve done just about all I care to do on my hunter to this point. Can’t decide which alt to play and or possibly main if hunters remain messy for rest of BFA.
Considering fire mage, would like to play a class that’s a bit more burst. The fire rotation seemed pretty fun and I always enjoyed arcane/frost too. Thought about a fury warrior also, rotation seemed fun and I have Mag’har unlocked, thought it might be enjoyable.
Other considerations shaman which is my next highest level character. I’d always been enhance typically, but with all the pruning seems like the spec is very dull these days. Not sure I’d want to play just elemental if enhance doesn’t get some kove. Also thought about rogue or waiting to roll a Zandalari druid.
If I lose interest in hunter I’m probably calling it quits for WoW. I mained melee since Vanilla, went to BM for ranged mobility. This is it for me.
However, to answer hypothetically. If I was to pick a new class to main after hunter it would definitely be Havoc DH. For me personally DH is the most fun melee in the game right now. If I had to pick a ranged class it would be Demo Lock. Also super fun, but less mobile.

I’m actually moving towards my hunter. I mained one back in BC, had a blast, it was alot different then though. Then i mained a lock for a while which was good until it wasn’t. Had alts like DK, Druid, and disc priest which is now my main for BfA.They are all fun, all have pros and cons, but I always liked the hunter. Soon might be my new main.

I’d go back to my Outlaw Rogue that I mained through WoD, Legion, and half of BFA.
I’ve mained hunter since vanilla as well, but I do enjoy my rogue for PVP and mage for PVE, so one of those would probably be my main if not for my hunter.
If I ever decide not to main hunter again it would be the end of WOW for me other classes are just too boring and unfun.

I will never lose interest in my Hunters. If I do, then WoW is over and has closed it doors and turned off its lights.

Same but for me it’s Marksman.
I rolled hunter to be an archer 10 years ago. Now that Marksman is the only archer spec left, it’s that or nothing for me.

Love my hunter. Hate raiding on it now… feels so awful!

I’ve been wondering about this. I just got my hunter in the 380ilvl bracket.
I’ve been doing BGs and having a blast!..then I tried arenas as MM been playing with a ret. Stealth opener with ret burst works 50-60% of the time and we just win right then and there. If it doesn’t work its def a fight but doable. (looooooooow CR I’m not claiming its like OMG good or viable but for noobish casual arenas it can be done)
The BIG issue is when I went into Daz with it…holy bean paste batman…booooooooooooooooooring.
The opener is good and feels fun. as soon as thats over…nope…I’m good.
Either there is some magic fun button I am missing or ill be hopeful for changes comes 8.2 and keep the hunter as an “I’m bored lets do some random bgs” class.
Probably Rogue. I have a Paladin I enjoy playing but I don’t like the Horde’s story, and he’s currently a Belf getting leveled for the heritage armor set. Plus I want to move away from the magical classes.

I have no choice but BM. First, I have played BM for more than 10 years. Second, I like to do ranged DPS. Third, I don’t like the class to cast spells with bars. So the only class I can choose is BM.

Oh… I would play my monk WW/MW.
Probably fury warrior. I go back and fourth between hunter, Warrior and Mage every expansion it seems

I would go to my Havoc DH, Outlaw Rogue, or Feral Druid, none of which are as much fun as the BM Hunter.
I have at 12 classes at 120 and the 11 are falling behind but when they’re at a majority at 380. Fury warrior and Outlaw rogue are fun to play. Unholy DK and Destro/Demo lock aren’t terribly boring.
I had an alt for most classes, ones I didn’t I tried out with the trial character feature. Only class I haven’t given a shot is monk. I wanted to play a class that’s a bit more bursty than hunter. Also one where the rotation was fun, so many class specs feel like the same boring mess these days.
Was leaning towards fury warrior, fire mage, both seemed to have fun rotations and not as monotonous as other classes. Considered destro lock but wasn’t crazy about building up shards. Also considered rogue, but they’ve always seemed to be a bit intimidating to get into and excel at. Why I stopped playing my rogue alt years ago, but I imagine in watered down BFA they are probably much easier to get back into these days.
Still can’t decide which alt to go with, just been finishing up some of the last few things left to do on my main like hit exalted on a couple more reps and run the new raid.
If I were to pick an alt, or even a new main, I’d have to decide between Shaman, Warlock, and UH DK.
For obvious reasons Warlock, UH DK are pet spec/classes and Shaman are chainmail wearers and lightning bolts are just good fun all around. All three classes also have cool mogs and look/vibes.
I love playing Hunters too much to ever give them up, but since I am working on the “Double Agent” achievement I rolled a Worgen Druid. Druids are the bomb, flight at level 58, shape-shifting into multiple forms, under water breathing, both healing and damaging spells. Yeah Druids are definitely the 2nd best class.
