Oceanic WoW Classic Realms

We agree with the many WoW Classic enthusiasts in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia that it will be a very good thing for players in that part of the world to connect to realms that are hosted in that part of the world. Planned it all along! We will have Oceanic realms for WoW Classic, with game servers hosted in Australia, at launch on August 27, and we’ll let you know the names of the Oceanic realms before name reservations start on August 13. Thanks!

Some Oceanic players were not going to play Classic if they had to go back to 300-400ms latency on a US server. Good news, no latency issues.

I will still be playing on NA, 200 ping is not that noticeable especially when taking into account Melee Leeway which is confirmed by blizz

Without the old Oceanic contingent on US realms, you’re unlikely to find too many others with the same play times, unless you have a night shift job.

I am curious to see whether the OC realms will mirror the current realms. if they include Barthi and Frostmourne realms for Classic will they be Horde and Alliance dominated respectively just as they are in current WoW
