If you stopped playing classic - when and why?

I was 60 shadow priest in pre-raid bis a week before phase 2 when i stopped playing.

Basically, my guild got disbanded and i realised… i hate mana. I hate mana so much. And especiallly on shadow priest. It’s great in 1v1/2, but in instanced pvp it’s just unplayable. I can’t play it. And i can’t force myself into leveling/gearing rogue

So i just stopped with classic. But i do watch streams from it, they’re super fun (esp madseasonshow, feels like he’s only person that understands it)

i was going to stop because for awhile it seems like everyone was min/maxing and not PvPing for fun. I couldn’t PvP in the real world because alliance was relatively scarce or the alliance would just not fight back.

Lately though, a lot more people are starting to premade wsg and my interest came back again

Also, last night wsg ques were 6 mins and AV was about 23 mins, which was cool… i’m unsure why though.

I have a shadow priest main as well which I barely play and essentially raid log since October. You ultimately dislike your class, not many like priests and they are so outrageous on mana it wants to make you quit. But as time goes on and your mana pool expands to 8k+ it does get significantly better. Come back around ZG time and catch up to the game before AQ. Priests are pretty short stacked on many realms for alliance.

Its awful and one of those EASILY fixable things in classic that would make classic 100x better.

Buffing = drink
Fight 1 person in pvp = drink
Raiding? LoL

More so than any other class in the history of wow

Yesterday, because i had to poo

i honestly don’t think i’ll be able to play priest ever again. Or any mana class in fact. I actually played only melee classes before classic in retail before. But gearing completely new toon from zero, and leveling it… that’s just too much.

Probably would still play if started with rogue or warrior as i actually wanted

Drop combat and drink? Battles don’t last that long.

I’m not going to stop playing Classic for a very long time.

I just don’t have the funds, atm. Quit my job to move. Haven’t found a new job, yet.

I stopped playing classic this morning because I had to go to work. The game becomes unplayable when I’m away from my computer.

well, drinking 90% of playtime is why i hate it. I didn’t realise it before i tried to play mana class :stuck_out_tongue:

Got 60 when there was not enough lvl 60 on the server to make a raid. Ran some dungeons for available best items i could get in this situation and quickly got bored out of my mind. Have no interest in getting 40 people to kill a boss that drops less item than what is respectable for this amount of people. So I moved on.

I did enjoy leveling a lot more than I thought I would so that was fun, no ragrets but I’m not staying, and seeing how people are raging about pvp and all the issues, I’m glad I left.

leveling was my most beloved part of classic. So fun, and since i was a shadow priest i also could kill anyone in my way. Then endgame struck

I mean it’s pretty well known shadow priests are literally the worst class/spec for sustain. But even so they’re amazing at PvP.

I think OP is a pure troll.
one should not be able to hit 2-3 buttons to easy wipe ppl in the world to give up priest.
and still one would have raid anyways.
funny people actually believed you

Quit when Dire Maul was released, just came back. There’s no raid potential for me unless I go fury but I only like to tank… I’m probably going to quit again after this month.

here’s my 60 priest, it’s in russian https://puu.sh/F3iPJ/17f4e918aa.jpg

even if it is for real (you still had not posted on this character here…),
it is like you didn’t know that you had a mana issues while was leveling…

well, i can’t post on EU/ru characters on US forum

still mate,
your reason is so weird to me.
how u even lvled a character to 60 u didn’t like (cause u had the mana problems for sure) it?

I loved my Shadow Priest in Vanilla, & more so in TBC, but I prefer to stick to smaller-group PvE dungeon (reg/heroic) content & the occasional 20-man raid maximum. MMORPG PvP has never appealed to me, nor 40-man raiding guilds that are mostly run like communist states. It’s easy to forget how mana-intensive the class is while soloing w/Spirit Tap, and then get into a group setting where you aren’t getting the kill shot every time. It’s always been a mini-game for me to get as many as I can in a group setting, to keep Spirit Tap rolling as much as possible. Alchemy is also a good profession, for the mana potions. I’m also working on my 1hnd/shield tanking Warrior to have something different to play that isn’t mana-bound.
