Or are they just gone forever? I didn’t realize how horrible threads was for leveling and now I just wish I could go back and do the campaign normally.

That was the point of the warning box where you had to type “FATE” – it’s irrevocable.
Is it possible that Blizzard changes that at some future point – perhaps. But that point won’t be soon.
Fate works fine for leveling if you can dungeon spam as a tank or healer. Otherwise I agree with you, it isn’t worth it. Some people seem to like the freedom it offers, however.
Ya I know I agreed to it but they really don’t warn you how awful it is going to be.

well doesnt it get you a better start on reps? I mean I’m not even neutral with all the reps after the story.
Threads of fate will get a better end game start imo.
It does that yes, and if you already know you prefer one covenant’s abilities, you get to use them everywhere already the entire process everywhere, not just in their zone. So there’s that. There are trade-offs. It’s just that the price is much slower leveling for most people who aren’t tanks or healers – again, for some people that’s a good cost/benefit, and that’s fine. For many people, it isn’t, though.
Yes, that’s true, but I do think when you see warning window like that you really should think twice and do some looking around to see what others experiences with the mode are – there are a lot of threads around about how people are disliking the mode (and, to be fair, some where people are liking it). It sucks you’re kind of stuck now, though.

Doing the story over and over and over and over and over is just so boring for me. I’d rather grind wqs and dungeons getting gold and rep.
I wish we got anima too but beggars can’t be choosers right?

I’m doing it on my Shadow Priest and it feels more or less fine. I like collecting anima already, and there’s something freeing about avoiding the long RP walks. They’re fun the first time, but I feel like I’ll be doing Threads of Fate almost exclusively for my alts as a result.
But no, typing in “Fate” indicates that you cannot go back. And I imagine that’s because it’s difficult to rip it away from your character as you have already chosen a Covenant at that point, and the world has changed to see you as having done the campaign. So I doubt there will ever be a way for them to change it back, to be honest.
Yep – and that’s cool. That’s exactly what the mode is for, and so it works well for you – that’s cool.
