I like the comfort of clothing on my skin in real life. Even on a hot night, I couldn’t imagine sleeping without clothes on (unless I happen not to be wearing any when I fall asleep). Maybe that’s why my game characters are the opposite and tend to not wear any (or at least appear not to wear any) or as little as possible.

Shirts are important to reduce burns when you inevitably spill your hot coffee or food.
Beech, I have played this game in a hospital gown with no underpants -also- even fully nude.
But to directly answer your question, I have indeed played while wearing only underpants.
Pants are overrated.
I’m a nudist irl, so wearing underpants would be a step backwards.
Unless it’s cold, or you otherwise need clothing for something, clothes aren’t necessary. And I do so much less laundry!
