I wouldnt mind another support or healer class, its a bit overdue. I would like a Bard type class where you increase everyones dps, hps or reduced dmg of some sort. I think i would end up maining something like that.

A bard class that wears mail would be cool. The main bard part would be their healing spec and the could have maybe three choices of musical instruments, but if not healing, they should be a buccaneer that uses a handgun and 1hand weapon or can use a two handed gun/bow as a sniper. Or is a tank with with a board and one handed. It would be a cross between rogue and hunter, but no pet and a unique healing spec that plays music. A few vocal buffs could be available in other specs, but no lutes or harps unless healing.

All the powers of Azeroth are made up. They’re magical inventions that we can believe work because magic. But we know all about music, it’s nothing new, and it doesn’t heal. And in a world of powerful might and magic, they’re not welcome with their little poems and violins. It’s the corniest idea ever. It will deface wow and the people who say Disney is taking over will be right.

How would it even work given Legion Artifact weapons? Would they go back and rework parts of Legion?

Weapons, class hall, campaign… It’s one thing when it’s just a class set in a dungeon, but Legion is all class content all the time. The only way they could really leverage it is if they cast the bard as some sort of pseudo-rogue and have them piggy back off that.

Yeah, I really don’t see them doing it unless they made new specs. Even then I doubt it. They do mention bards in Ardenweald, but still don’t think they will ever do it

Things that would be annoying as hell to listen in a raid for 100 please

I think you should do this even if Blizzard DOESN’T give us bard.

Ardenweald, eh? Well, the only other “classic D&D” Bard type character in the game I know of is this dude:

That’s no precedent to establish an entire class around. Even those pining for the wholly redundant Necromancer have more to go off of.

Whenever Bard come up I think of this filk song:

Mine ears have heard the glory of the umpteenth level bard,
He’s both a thief and fighter and he thinks he’s really hard,
He plays a Hammond organ and an electric guitar,
As he goes filking on.

If it were a mail class with heal role, it would at least be my “mail main” (I try to keep one of each armour class actively geared)

Yeah OP good reason to never introduce bards into the game because that character was all round pretty much unless and no one wants an AFKer larping

I have no idea how people think singing songs is remotely anything in WoW aside from it was in FFA

Why would they even be wearing armour?

No, no, he’s got a point there.

To have “another” support class, we’d need existing support classes.

We haven’t had those since classic.

Support classes never worked.
Healer, tank and dps

No room for support

The issue with a bard class is how do you have a dps spec for them?

I love the idea of a buff/healer playstyle, but they also have to be able to do solo quest content.
