If you found an ore node that respawned faster than you could mine it

…and it produced every type of ore from shadowlands, would it be cheating if you just sat there and mined it over and over?

If the answer is yes, than how does this differ from the hyperspawning bats in Revendreth that literally take one ability (star fire) to kill?

Yes according to blizzard. You’re supposed to know that’s not how this works.

have you reported said bats?

how would it differ from the hyperspawning bats in Revendreth that literally take one ability (star fire) to kill?

Mining a busted node is different because it’s not intended to respawn that fast while the bats are.

Farm spots tend to get nerfed/left alone depending on how much loot you get. Doesn’t matter how many bats you kill if you’re only earning like 5K an hour for it.

Unless bots start farming the area, then they’ll probably nerf the spot after they spend some time watching the bots to see how they work so they can make sure they hit as many as possible.

So cheating is determined by how much can be earned per hour?

Yes, everything is conditioned by how much “damage” it does.

What do you think you’re arrested for?

  • slapping someone across the face
  • slapping someone across the face with a damned bat

That makes no sense. If you’re doing something wrong then you’re doing something wrong; regardless of how serious the offence.

Skinning is balanced differently. Skinning is also cooking mats farming, and they want food to be affordable. Skinning mobs are typically very fast spawning or very dense spawning, that is the design intention. The design intention with ore is for it to be more limited. Even though with mining you are typically interacting with less objects per hour, you make more value from it overall. The Reven bats are no different from the Korthia bears. The Korthia bears spawn a few seconds slower, but there is also way more of them per camp.

it does make sense once you understand that beyond “right” and “wrong” are various degrees of 'wrong".

He probably thinks that tapping someone on the shoulders or touching someone’s but is the same thing…

What is the point that is trying to be made here?

cheating is determined by the game maker. did they make the bats respawn that fast INTENIONALLY? Then no, its not cheating to farm them.
WE ALL know they dont make ore nodes INTENTIONALLY to respawn that fast. So yes, it would be cheating to abuse it and not report it.
This thread smells like bait.

Both (from what Ive seen on COPS)

(before it was taken off of the air for having police on it)

And which one do you think will have a greater punishment?

That wasnt the question.

That wasn’t the point either, there is a cutoff.
And no… you won’t usually get arrested for slapping someone, but you will most likely for hitting someone with a bat.

The point was that there are a various degrees of punishments for various degrees of wrongdoings.

Oh nice! We can all go around slapping each other with no legal repercussions, thanks!

Unfortunately, their ToS was written by crafty lawyers in such a way that you so much as move wrong you get punished in this game.

Censorship is out of hand.

I’m sure you can go ahead and do it.
