If he wants to take portals out of Retail, have at it. The point of Classic is to play the game as it was, both the good and bad aspects.

Sweetheart, it’s Blizzard’s game. They absolutely have every right to tell you how to play their game. If you want to play a game you’re way, you are free to make your own game.

Except that no one is telling you how to play, you would be completely free to form groups exactly as you do today with LFD in the game.
What’s ironic is that all the people saying just a friend’s list or guildies, are already people who don’t care about LFD because they wouldn’t even benefit from it.

No, that’s #nochanges and we can already confirm Blizzard doesn’t subscribe to that.
If you disagree with them you’re free to use the RDF in retail, as recommended by Ion. It’s an option.

Oribos has a portal to the 2 main faction cities, and those cities have portal to most places in every other expansion, some of which then have even more portals to other places within that expansion.
Taken in context will full knowledge of what he is talking about, that is vastly more teleporting in retail. You can’t even compare it with TBC or Wrath that have one day portals to major cities.

Everything has to start somewhere.
Just as RDF isn’t solely responsible for the breakdown in community social interaction, neither is the teleporting of RDF solely responsible for the overuse of it later on.

I don’t remember, but they can summon outside the instance regardless. When I was raiding in Vanilla Classic people had warlock alts stashed by the raid entrances just for summoning people.

I mean, if you make a tank you can trade tanking services with a friend that has a tank.
You get your rogue in your tank friends group, then he gets his alt in your alt tanks group.
Social solution that encourages alts, forming relationships I side your community, exc.
I got to many group invites on my hunter because I actively participated in the community and made A LOT of friends from classic to today, i still help random people with stuff to gain reputation with the community. Rdf kills any need for that.
