If you don't ban the top guilds from cheating, you are a hypocrite if you ban lower guilds for cheating

Pick a lane Blizz.

idk why people keep on pretending like blizz cares about any form of integrity. its a billion dollar corpo that cares about one thing and that is making money

you can literally buy gold which in turn buys ilvl and that means buying power. literally p2w game

Right now managers and workers at Blizzard are in panic mode trying to show Microsoft they have value so they won’t be laid off or have their projects cancelled.

I’m sure Microsoft has looked at the numbers and are asking the right questions about why so many resources and so much effort is put into content that only a small percentage of the player base enjoys while at the same time the content that the majority of paying customers enjoy is buggy, lacking in depth and under supported.

Especially when it is easy to see how much customers prefer the classic content as opposed to elitist content.

probably under review, but we wont see those changes go into effect in the game for years to come.

and lets not pretend microsoft cares about anything other then money as well.

They all cheat, it’s just for show. What? Are you going to be the world first?

Lol the everyone does it argument from 5th grade debate class.

Blizz can’t have it both ways. They can’t pay staff to be online making hotfixes, etc. while claiming that the event is unsanctioned.

Microsoft is in the process of cleaning up Blizz (and the other devs they have purchased and have been let down by) so this kind of thing will probably get canned soon and the focus put back into the main game that the majority play.

is elaine hot?

The new Alleria is lame compared to what she was. People been trying to cheat in games forever who cares.

I know you boot lick those guilds. I hope one day they let you in to be like a coffee fetcher or something.

But, yes, the people you worship cheated to beat a boss they knew they couldn’t beat without exploiting. Instead of waiting for Blizz to address that boss they cheated.

Who the hell is paying any attention to this? The RWF fiasco has been a dead meme since Legion that nobody cares about except for the peeps over on Wowhead desperately searching for “content” to post about inbetween their breaks of trawling the wow subreddit to repost as their own.

I wouldn’t care if Blizz was completely removed from the event. Having overtime employees on standby for an “unsanctioned event” and then claiming it is unsanctioned is a classic ethical dilemma that Blizz falls into time and time again. Pick a lane.

Right now Blizzard is a Subsidiary of Microsoft. No one at Blizzard is worried about anyone from Microsoft showing up and firing them or cutting projects. The worst that Microsoft would do is cut Blizzard’s funding.

Dratnos said it clearly:

Exploit often, exploit early.

Oh I hate to break the news to you then:

[Microsoft lays off 1,900 Activision Blizzard and Xbox employees - The Verge]

Just happened this week.

I think you should definitely ban people for cheating if they gained some sort of advantage from it. The cheating in RWF however gained no real advantage as they quietly stopped after people noticed and didnt have any particularly good pulls while cheating.

which is…?

If you don’t ban the top guilds from cheating, you are a hypocrite if you ban lower guilds for cheating

So who which top guilds are cheating?

Liquid did.

Dratnos explains and calls it out here:

There is something missing from their discussion. At no point did they tell us just what the rules are and how they apply to this situation.

The great American philosopher Leo Durocher once said “You read a rule book to see what you can do, not what you can’t do.”. In Race for First it’s not clear they even have a rule book.
