If you don’t have 2/4 piece by Tuesday

There’s a difference between giving the bonus and counting towards the bonus. I think that may be what’s throwing a wrench in things.

Last raids gear did something similar. Only certain pieces of the whole set actually gave specific bonuses, but other pieces could count towards the bonus.

This is one in the same…you know that right?

They’re just not in the game at all right now. They will be in the game next week.

They are tier pieces. Blizzard calls them tier in their post and I think people have mentioned that they have the same naming convention - which is consistent how all other tier pieces/sets in the game have worked since vanilla.

Hmmm, lets do a little reading shall we? You know something we start to learn to do in the 1st grade if not sooner.

Oh look, what wonders reading will tell you

-Dreadful Chest Module
-Dreadful Hand Module
-Dreadful Helm Module
-Dreadful Leg Module
-Dreadful Shoulder Module

Each of those comes with further text explaining what it is

“Create a soulbound Sepulcher of the First Ones Class Set item appropriate for your class.”

If you are too dumb to figure that out, I dont know what to say.

Not to mention that the naming of other slots like belt and such dont carry the same name as the tier set. For instance, the tier set for Dk has First Eidolon in the name. The other items that would finish the tier look, not the set bonus, do not have that naming scheme.

But the Judgement tier gear for paladins all have Judgement in the name that included more than just the 5 slots tier has now, and not only that, that tier gear had a 8 piece bonus.

No it’s not - domination gear created a line between the 2.

They did that last tier because at the beginning you only had 3 pieces that gave you the bonus, then they added the other 2 to make it easier to get the effect.

They dont need to do that when we already have 5 pieces that give the tier set bonuses and we are getting this new system to make whatever piece we are missing.

There is 0 reason to make crafted bracer/boots count as part of the bonuses, if they were going to do that then the ones we get as raid drops would do the same.

It also doesnt make any sense that when they have this line in the same post

They go out of their way to make sure people understand that bracers/boots DO NOT count as part of the tier set bonus. There is 0 room for interpretation.

A gear conversion tool that happens to convert gear into tier when used on the appropriate slots.

Not a single person saw it as a stat reforger because it just converts the piece into something else entirely, irrevocably.

The only people who read anything more into it are just making things up baselessly.

And blizzard also specifically says they will not give you the bonus. How do you understand one part and not the other?

I don’t think we can get any of “the ones we get as raid drops” right now. Those pieces of tier don’t exist yet

I didn’t think they were going to allow the conversion of any slots other than the 5 existing pieces.

The fact that they’re creating new tier gear in other slots entirely was a huge surprise.

I think others have already mentioned this. Because you just need 1 of those pieces to actually grant the bonus. But the other tier pieces will count towards the limit breaks.

So you can’t get a bonus with just the boots and waist. One of those would need to be either the chest, gloves, helm, legs or shoulders

Who are you listening to? Thats not at all how tier gear works.

In order to get the tier set bonus, you need 4 of the pieces that give the bonus. Those are on 5 slots. The boots waist and bracers do nothing for your set bonus.

Lol, no. Just wait for Tuesday my dude, you must have the worst reading comprehension I ever seen.

When they’re called tier and named in line with the set it would make sense for them to work towards the bonus. The way tier has always worked in the past.

I just don’t get why they’d call and label these pieces as [tier] if this was the case.

Just have the items turn into the gear that is in the raid now which matches the transmog set.

Alright, then go for it. Its not how it has worked in the past and only items that have the tier set bonus on them contributed to the tier set bonus.

There are tier looks, but when it comes to set bonus thats only on 5 of the items and has been that way since basically TBC.

Because it’s adding to the “set”. The set being “tier” does not mean the new items are tier, just that they’re added to the set.

Adding nuts and bolts to their corresponding groups doesn’t suddenly make every nut a 10mm

I think some of this is also tied to stats, like the stats from raid items might not be the “best” (neither are the stats on the converted pieces in some cases).

There is also the idea that if it is named similar to tier, people will realize “oh, this is the look that goes with my tier look”. Tier being named similar to represent bonuses is a fair argument, but so is naming pieces similarly due to what items go with what set.

These exist on current raid items.

Any not craft gear into those items rather than these new items? Honestly, if the new items didn’t have any reference/ link to tier gear, I don’t think there would be any issue.

You’d still get the transmog. You’d still get the same stats.
