If you don’t choose Necrolords

I’m taking your DK card. Just a like how I took them from all the frosties.

I guess I’m an unlicensed DK, cause frost is better and I’m going with the vampires. That tombstone back transmog is super rad.

Sadly for what it seems necrolords is garbage on both covenant abilities for dks if nothing changes.

From what I’ve seen (no alpha access sadly) the Necrolords class ability does not seem to poor of an option from a dps standpoint, I think they could make it competitive with our Venthyr ability if they gave it runic power generation like swarming mist has. Unfortunately, the Necrolords covenant ability itself is nothing to be too excited for in my opinion.

Gotta love people that think that if we don’t play their way we don’t deserve to play the class or w/e lol. Get out of your high horse please

Necrolord abilities will be great for PvP, so I certainly wouldn’t say they’re garbage.

Venthir is a damn decent choice for blood. So is Arden…

The shield is weak, with a 4 sec channeling, and only 20% hp if no corpse nearby, on a 2 min cd. You wont be casting that ever in middle combat and the tentacle grips cc’d stuff. I would say far from great. Venthir and ardenwald are miles ahead on both abilities for dks.

kinda makes me think its more suited for wpvp than arena.

Necrolords’ covenant ability is too weak, even for wpvp, Vent is better since we lack mobility.

yeah but with wpvp you have easy access to corpses, and a lot of wpvp kills are decided before combat even begins by your setup, having a full shield ready to go would be part of that.

an easy use i can think of is to kill a ram in AV, channel a shield, then assault a bunker.

That seems very situational, as for wpvp the skill won’t matter if we are caught by surprise (which is very common), no way to stop and long cast a shield.

Just because of this post i’m rolling a Kyrian frost dk. You’re welcome, op.

If they’ve are good in pvp, then have fun sitting out in pve when everyone else has a teleport that can traverse a lot of terrain. This is the problem with the covenants, they aren’t equal at all. Can you tell no one is really talking about the Kyrian covenant? The ability is an owl guy that gives you a potion which is going to be useful pretty much nowhere. Compare that to venthyr where you can teleport up cliffs, past mechanics, past a group of mobs etc etc. Or night fae that comes with 3 blinks and you can still use your class abilities while transformed.

Even the necrolord ability requires dead enemies to increase its strength and it also gets used up while your channeling the ability due to incoming damage. Night fae would probably be better in pvp as well at this point.

Pretty sure they will nerf the hell out of venthyr eventualy. Hopefuly they buff the limb cause id love to go necrolords.

Oh I’m not telling you that you don’t “deserve” to play the class. I’m just going to call you not a DK if you don’t pick Necrolords. Please don’t assume I’m riding a horse, I’m riding a futher mucking undead dragon.

And who are you to decide what’s best for a class again? O yeah… no one lol
Frost DK Venthyr port ftw!
You can call me w/e, your gatekeeping opinion doesn’t really matter

I’m going Night Fae probably. Like the environment and the soulbind stuff (as unfinished as it is) is more than good for mobility.

I am not a frost scrub, that’s who I am.

Have fun with your purple class, mixing your frost abilities with your red armor. I cringe at the thought.
