Note: By creative decisions I mean anything that isn’t game-play mechanic such as numbers.
I would remove the faction barrier. The factions would still exist but could talk to each other and queue together in pve content. However war mode would disable this change.
I’d introduce FFXIV’s All-In-One class system on one character. That means no more race-locking classes, and to level your alt class on your character, you’d basically be set to level 1 and go grind dungeons/invasions/ect to level it up.
A bit of fine tuning would be involved but it would be nice to play my hunter and just swap to resto druid healing and be on the same character.
Need a better gear storage system and some tweaks to leveling your alt specs tho.
Anyway, how about we just make gear drops actual gear drops and have pve and pvp have their own gearing systems… Like, when the game was actually relevant and not an obscure dying source of quick bucks.
In FFXIV you can play all of the classes and do all of the professions on one character. I won’t be greedy and ask for all of the professions, but I would love all of the classes/specs on one character.
It’s a lot of fun! But the game is definitely tuned for it. The base FFXIV sub is cheaper, but you can also only have one character per realm. I think it’s $11-$12 monthly instead of $15 monthly to play it that way. Then you can pay even more for alts, I think alts is closer to $15 monthly.
But I can understand your feelings too. Not many MMOs do that kind of thing. FFXIV has an entire armory system in addition to bag space just to store all of your gear. It’d be too jarring of a jump to ever happen, but once you get used to it, it kind of sucks going back.
RIP my beautiful hunter who I raided with, but can’t touch because I get sick to death of being stuck in a DPS role all the time instead of having the options a druid has.
