Man, Iâm not speaking for Kennie, nor am I trying to convince you of any point in particular. Itâs my perception that the majority of people who complain about rating/rewards are almost always people who struggle to get those rewards.
It is a consistent trend throughout the forums, reddit, and twitch chat. People are far more quick to blame some MMR boogeyman than just try to improve.
You can choose to believe whatever you want, I just provided some examples of people asking for rewards to be made easier.
Iâm not sure what your vendetta against me is, but I feel like Iâve never treated you unfairly, not sure why youâre being a hypocrite to me.
I would wish for diminishing returns shared by all roots, slows, snares. Even though that isnât in the best interest for my MM Hunter, it is the right thing to do.
Tanking pvp in BFA was my JAM. My Prot Paladin felt very durable and nearly everything I did blanketed the battlefield in Twilight Devestations. The best way not to die to all the Twilight Devs were to play a tank or ranged as you didnt know what team proced them.
Shadowlands gearing?? That was one of the worst iterations of gearing Iâve seen in this game it was abhorrent. Curious why you like it? I could get the pov that it made alting not as easy and reduced potential fotm rerolling, but there has to be a better way for that then SLs system it was awful.
Also underrated thing of Shadowlands, I think, is that Duelist upgraded pieces got the elite appearance so you could earn alternative elite sets, elite weapons, etc, and that was cool to me.
1 and 2 are true, but it was not something PVE players liked from what I could see. They did it because it was the best option for them and complained most of the time, at least thats what I was seeing from the guilds I was around+the forums and twitter. Iâm not sure that would be a permanent solution, a lot of PVErs want to avoid pvp and I think that should be possible for them to do even if they are at the highest level of pve.
I agree about the upgrading pieces thing, getting the other armor adjacent tier sets was pretty cool but at the same time I kinda like that tier sets remain specific and obtainable mostly to the class its for, just makes them have more of a purpose imo. With how many non-armor type sets we have in the game now its nice to have at least one for each class that is still for that class.
Increasing unrated participation/2s participation was also done in BFA with essences. Although that was another situation where PVE players complained lol, but a lot of dps complained about their best essence coming from PvP, think it had them grind honor or something cant remember.
I think if I recall participation was better when essences came out due to a ton of pve dps players having to go into pvp to get their best one, I remember it very distinctly since it was a very loud complaint.
In terms of this, yeah i know how it sounds but realistically the reason the game modes are entirely separate now with no overlap is because of the complaints during BFA/SL when there was crossover between pve and pvp. Its not necessarily a terrible way to get people into pvp but I dont think the game is honestly in a great place for new pvpers to learn pvp? I am having fun personally but idk, seems more complicated now than even in SL for new people, especially for those who donât even like it but would then have to do it.
