What would you want? For spell effects and such. Right now, Priests have wee little wings that look fairly silly on many classes, so why not think of something more… glorious?
Would you want strands of light (or dark for Shadow) like Tyrael from Diablo? Or maybe triple wings like a Seraphim of some religions?
I like current wings for Guardian Spirit.
I would like them maybe to be white instead of yellow.
I also think if the spell procs it should do some kind of animation. Some wingy thing or something with feathers.
Agree with Amantha, as usual. The Guardian Spirit wings already look pretty cool. Personally I’m still tempted to chuckle everytime I see a bear with those little wings sticking out.
Priests have pretty good visual effects… but unfortunately a lot of them are tied to currently subpar spells like PoH and Holy Nova whereas our bread and butter spells don’t have that much going on.
Heal - Flash Heal - Serenity - Renew
Those spells highly need a visual rework
If I had my choice…
Smite also looks better in classic than in retail.
Also the shining hands in classic look better than the sparkly ones in retail.
I would love the Tyrael wings.
I’d love to have the wings from Archangel or Dark Archangel permanently.
I made a priest in classic recently and was struck by how much more I like the old holy spell animations as well. The sound and swirls around your hair actually lit up a bit of space around them.
I love stars and sparkles and stuff but the currently holy spell effects are so minimal even if you turn your settings up as high as possible. I miss having our hands fully enveloped.
Right? I just started a priest in classic too and having your hands full light mode feels way immersive than a bunch of sparkles.

There are a few exceptions like Sanctify (Tho I miss sanctuary animation) and Prayer of healing which both look better now than before. But spell animation is very underwhelming.
Chastise and Serenity are depressing considering both are HOLY WORDS.
