If you could choose 1 person from the forums as new PVP dev, who would it be?

Since there’s no PVP dev anymore I think it’s time we choose our own

me ofc. I wont give any input just use my pfp

That would be my pick too

I rather have the octopus who picked the winners of the world cup. He seems to have more brains than most forum posters.

I vye for Xuxu so that we can see only Palidans dominate.

Dozer. You’d see hotfixes everyday if not every week
He’d also be posting all the time to keep us updated on his thoughts about pvp.

I’m sure he can’t mess it more than the developers have done already.

Clearly I would take RPG PvP to the next level and add more tournaments with a focus on brawls. PvP in this game could be great but it’s been stagnant since Wrath.

This is obviously the worst person to pick…

I, for one, welcome our new overlord.

The only real answer here is a fight to the death between Murrk and Abomb.

I’d hate to say it but myself honestly

In lieu of being unable to pick myself… hmmm.

There are too few people who do not show exemplary knowledge of how the game operates for specific instances and aren’t biased towards their class.

I’d reckon if Dark’s attitude wasn’t horrendous maybe him, but it is what it is.

If I was a PVP dev today (cringes I’m actually going to do this) my list of changes would be.

Nerf WoG healing by 12% for ret, 20% for prot.

Something needs to be done to tune down Hpally mana efficiency. What that is I am unsure, but I would try to get them to the point where after 5 minutes they would have spent the same amount of mana if there game were at idk, say 6 minutes in versus the same team. Start low at maybe a 3% increased mana cost to all spells. So if something costs 1k mana, it now costs 1030. Their output is really high too, so maybe tone down their healing by 3-4% across the board. Realistically this would take me watching and consulting Hpal to learn more about the spec as it is completely foreign to me to learn better where they need to be targeted.

I’d probably leave disc where it is since the meta may shift in lieu of the pally mana nerf.

Triune Ward - I see multiple options here. One of them would to make it so that it still functions the same, however they all are single spells that you just now have access too. This could create more room to be outplayed. Rather than applying them whenever because the shield is so large, you would need to pre-emptively do it or risk the 3 GCDs after a go before you could die on a swap.

Another option would be similar, except it is now two buffs (your specs regular shield, and the other two shields are a buff as well). This gives more leeway to being purged. You could nerf the effectiveness of the shields by 15% of their current value under triune ward.

Lastly, you could just nerf the effectiveness of the shield, although this just seems like a cop out to me.

I’d remove full moon from convoke. I’d probably call it at that. Maybe I would add in coding so that starsurge cannot be cast back to back during convoke which would always allow for a .5 second spread between each starsurge so you could only potentially be hit by 4 in 2 seconds with the luckiest of rolls.

Intervene duration should be nerfed slightly. It’s 6 seconds, probably should be less, maybe 3.5.
