What would it be?
For me it would be to make warlocks be able to summon people (with their summon spell) from outside instances into an instance the warlock is currently in (how it was in 2004). It made it easier to find replacement group members if the warlock could just bring in someone new.
Craft times for shlock like copper bars and armor production.
I don’t think GW2 did many things correct in the grand scheme, but the time it took to produce in crafting was a breath of fresh air.
I wouldn’t really change anything, but if I had to pick something I’d pick something minuscule like; My pet not de-spawning between Flight Points. I get the shard refunded to me, so it’s not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience.
Make the community nicer, more friendly, and welcoming to all players. I have no issues with the game itself. I had an incident recently where some dude in my guild was asking for relationship advice because his girlfriend was depressed, and I said “bring her food and rub her feet” and people in my guild were like “spotted the woman” (I am a woman) and started going off about hating women and saying all kinds of awful things and essentially just “REEEE WOMEN GET OUT”. So frankly I just kinda don’t feel like playing the game anymore. I know it might just be that specific guild, or that specific realm, but I have spent over a decade playing WoW and dealt with the exact same kind of behavior throughout my entire time playing it, and frankly I’m just sick of it. It’s like half the reason I stopped playing retail, the other half being that the game also sucks.
We can’t control what people say unfortunately. We can control video game code if the devs agree with us to implement our suggestions.
This is just internet culture in general, tbh. People can say and do horrible things behind the mask of anonymity because there’s rarely any repercussions. Just have to smile and wave through it, or find a community/guild that doesn’t tolerate that type of behavior.
Sadly the typical gamer bro is everywhere. Find a guild that advertises that it’s family friendly. It’s a more enjoyable experience. My current guild is an older crowd with many couples (including my husband and I) and it’s just better. That said, yeah. If there was anything I could change, it would definitely be this.
Unfortunately in my decade+ experience in WoW that’s easier said than done. Every time I joined a guild that seemed like they didn’t tolerate that kind of behavior, there was always exactly just one single guy that would harass me and any complaints would just be ignored. I even joined a guild once where when that happened they were like, “yeah we’ve had lots of women come and go because of that guy” and it’s just like, hello? Why keep him around then? It’s like no one values women as guild members, so they’d rather just keep that one awful guy around and continue to force women to have to leave the guild instead. And it’s so pervasive, good luck finding a guild that isn’t like that. I found a grand total of 1 in my entire decade+ experience playing WoW, and they eventually disbanded over raiding issues. And pretty much the only reason they didn’t tolerate that kind of behavior is because the GM was a woman herself.
I would remove Layering.
Probably an unpopular opinion and I also recognize that it wouldn’t work without substantial lore changes/enhancements/race addition so consider this more of a theoretical wish:
I would like to see Shaman and Paladin available for both factions
I would also echo what OP said in that I would like to see summoning stones work. They could/should require that a player have touched the stone at some point in the past to be summonable (like picking up a flight point) if they want. This would check the forced exploration box but also enhance convenience. It is annoying, for example, that I cannot quest in Silverpine while monitoring the /LFG channel for WC groups without likely inconveniencing my group by being such a long travel time away from the entrance.
I would make every spec viable.
(1) Add Besten and Slahtz
(2) remove the irritating one-hour delay for intra-account mail (or make it 5-minutes or something)
I wasn’t referring to summoning stones or “meeting stones”. I was talking about the warlocks summon spell
Thanks, it’s good to know it’s possible for a guild like that to even exist lol. I was beginning to lose hope.
If anyone has any recommendations for a friendly server, I’m all ears. I played in the Classic beta with a bunch of streamers and everyone was super friendly so I thought Faerlina would be alright, but I guess I thought wrong lol.
Dimed are flight paths stop and go (annoying) or do they not stop until you’re at the intended destination? Because if it’s the former change it asap coz it sucksssssssssssss
Lol whew yeah. Stay away from Faerlina. The streamer bro community is toxic as heck! I’m not sure what kind of goals you have in mind or if you want a pvp or a pve server. If you’re fine with a PVE server, most of the people I’ve kept in touch with went to Pagle.
I’d put random elite mobs 1-2 levels higher than the surrounding area as patrols all over the place. No safe areas!
I’m giving the Twitch locust swarm a week or two to die off and we have our realm back.
Sooo, Silverpine Forest?
I was in MAGA in the beta too and here’s the thing, the streamers themselves are fine it’s the community that follows them that isn’t so great. It’s just a bunch of immature kids for the most part trying to find their way in life. I think their average demo is 12-14 year old males. That community didn’t have access to the beta for the most part which is why it was normal. I’d recommend a different server.
Yes, but everywhere.
