looking at season 2 M+ raider io data, only 6.5% of the player based cleared all M+ dungeons at 20 and above.

  1. not “everybody” is doing these keys at 20 and above. 93.5% of the player base aren’t, so a 20 is a high key.

  2. only 25% of the player base timed all the dungeons at 15 and above.

  3. 0.4% timed them all at 25 and above.

stop chasing what the top 0.4% if you aren’t playing in that space. i guarantee that you can do every dungeon up to KSM (roughly all 13-15s timed) on every single class and spec in the game.

conclusion: if you aren’t actually pushing the very envelope of the game - and 99.6% are not - play what you like and have some fun.

you can do 20s on any spec and class in the game. play what you want.

I am in the % that doesn’t even do M+ ever. Don’t have time for it and I rather enjoy my time leveling alts and talking to friends.

Very true.

Remember guys: If they’re asking for a meta comp and they’re doing anything less than like a 25, just don’t join the group. Stop carrying people who rely on meta comps

LOL here is the deal I do 20+ for portal and you don’t have to time them to get it. Also I do it for the vault as well so again you don’t have to time the keys as long as you aren’t like 40mins over you will still get the rewards.

That’s a nice sentiment that everybody safely virtue signals behind.
The reality is, if you’re not meta past 20s, virtually nobody is inviting you. Which is even less fun. Even if your ilvl and rating is better than theirs.

Looking at literally all of you who wanted a bear carry S2.

Also, blizz arbitrarily inflating rating per key to make bads see bigger numbers means that both 2800 rating and 3000 rating both need +21 to +23 for io.

So “play what you want” for internet karma is fake. Blizz doesn’t believe it, and none of you believe it until we get another season of balance like DF S1, which will likely be TWW S1 if at all. :-1:t4:

False. Many people can. But given the low percentage that has completed all these at +20, it’s still probably the minority.

it’s not false. literally every spec and class is capable of timing a 20 key.

I didn’t clear 15s for all the dungeons, but got KSM.

I may try for KSM again, and maybe 15s (but I dunno, the mega dungeon is a real pain…we’ll see how that plays out).

What M+ should a 435 be able to clear right out gate in S3?

I’ve seen some folks play the “meta” classes and absolutely be bad at them and I’ve seen folks play the “worst” spec and absolutely blast with them.

Bring the player not the class.

I play a marksman hunter, I timed every +20 key and even ventured into some 21s.

100% Heck if you look at the spec leaderboard on raderio even one of the worse spec (Sin rogue) have time a 30 and mostly time 28 and 29. So even an average player can easily do a 15+ and a half decent player should be able to do a 20

Well a +2 in the new season drop 441 gear I am assuming you can easily do a +5?

Interesting how you sleazed from the claim that 100% of players can and should do it to “at least one player in each class can.” There’s no reason to try to dispute that truism.

i haven’t moved any bar. i can tell you don’t do this content, which is fine. maybe don’t try and speak to it though if you have no idea what you’re talking about.

what i said to begin with was every spec and class can time a 20. i didn’t change that at all.

True OP, heck even some world first raiders are like… yeah it’s optimal to bring X to cheese some fights and get an advantage when doing the world first race but mostly that most specs, classes are viable for most content.

There is just a big group that like to imitate the top end players and chase meta.
