Just cleared 7/7 last night first attempt ever. Formed my own group with all the utility you need and i brought extra faps. It was easy and fun. Research the fights and ask people to bring consumes. People are trolls or sweat lords. Don’t let them get you down.

A couple friends of mine were finally able to get a group together to do BFD today. After about a week of trying and failing to either join a group, or organize a group themselves. Yes we’re in a guild but we’re not 10 people, it’s 5 of us. I was out because of work stuff so couldn’t make it.
They ended up clearing the entire raid in about an hour. No BIS gear, no pots, no vetting people for gear or experience.
There’s way, way to many try hard losers playing SOD, and they truly ruin the experience for the causal players.

I literally refused to actually look up anything about the content and walked in, cleared it in like, an hour and a half, and that was it. No buffs, no pots, just whatever blues I had from dungeons. I never felt so underwhelmed by a raid in my entire life, and I raided TOGC in wrath. I know for a fact people will be this stupid about gnomer too, not because the raid will be hard, but because it’s a long stupid dungeon designed by a dude on hallucinogens
I’m on Living Flame US Horde and we actively take people who are 5/7. Like a lot.
i just did my two last lockouts in pugs that had 0 requirements. first lockout we one shot every boss
second lockout died a few times and whiped some times but we full cleared
but i am on crusader strike, idk if that changes a thing though
Not sure what the deal is with your server if that is true. I see plenty of groups rolling around pretty decently. My guild is running multiple groups and willingly taking in some barely 200 GS members.
But on a note, requiring 300+GS?! LOL WTF, I mean I am well over that myself (320 pre-putting on the epic BS chest which GS doesnt recognize) but I always check people around me and people over 300 GS are uncommon if not rare. That sounds exaggerated I am sorry. My guild runs have cleared it with a majority of the run being 170-250GS.
Yeah that’s how it is on Crusader Strike from what I have gathered in general. Our server is just chill I guess. IDK wtf is with this other server.

I’m level 25 druid in like mediocre gear, and I joined a random LFG pug with no discord. We got 5/7 without a death. We easily would have got 7/7 but we wiped one time on Kelris, and one of the members disconnected and never returned, and then another guy had to go 5 mins later. And we couldn’t find 2 dps willing to come in at 5/7. So we all mutually called it a night. Oh well! Had this not have happened, we 100% would have finished the raid.
As it should be.
My green geared Priest alt who dinged 25 last night cleared 7/7 - if I joined a pug now I expect that at minimum, but you guys are bad, yes you, and I expect you to compensate with gear, consumes, and experience.

People beg Hunters to join their groups. I’m not at all concerned about getting into one.

honestly i’m astounded that folks require that much for BFD…
just did it for the first time two days ago and we just 7/7 on a pug easily, and no one in the group was anywhere near optimized in gear (nor full BiS)
So you want to join a group that will carry you? Consumables are needed to make the fight easier so you aren’t wiping a dozen times. It’s really not that hard to farm, you don’t need quests to make money. Go look at what is on the AH that you are capable of farming and farm what is worth selling. If nothing else go grind mobs and vendor/AH the drops, or level an herb/alch alt.
It’s not like you need that many consumables anyways, especially if you find a regular group to play with.
Go find your servers discord channel, it will have a guild recruitment channel. It will likely also have a looking for guild channel where you can send out feelers.
My server isn’t using GS yet, but if you have your preraid bis like you claim, I find it hard to believe that you aren’t able to meet the threshold.
Again, discord. Server discord should have an LFG channel. People advertise upcoming groups in it, and players LFG in it. Use it to find a group running at a time that works for you.
Just curious, what is your class/spec?

Players sometimes say that Blizzard is ruining the game. I don’t think that’s completely true. I feel it’s the players themselves.
The upside is, players who require all of this generally play together. You can easily avoid them and play with a more relaxed group.

I will say as a horde living flame US player OP is not 100% incorrect.
I lvled and hit 25 soon after SoD started but since I wanted to tank I was waiting for the Meta rune to be found before trying BFD.
After the rune was found and it was found out you needed to run bfd I pretty much tried to join/start groups daily. However a big issue the first few days was then the amount of locks wanting to join groups due to the meta run and the low DPS casters were doing so I more or less gave up on trying to find a group.
They then later changed the meta rune I spent a few hours soloing it got the rune then went back to looking for a group the next few days and after about probably 10-12 hours of sitting in org spamming

Every 5 min and the only response I get was either a 50/50 of “What gear do you have?” and people wanting to see the BoE’s I had equpied or the raid gear I already got Or just flat out saying they only wanted melee DPS.
I more or less gave up, I ended up just leveling some other classes I wanted to mess with parked them all at 25 and have just been playing some other stuff. It sucks but its not a massive deal to me since I know as soon as the next phase comes out that raid gear will be pointless.
I would however like to see a LFG tool implemented. Nothing like Insta q/group tool like dungeon finder in retail but more of like the Burning crusade or the current Raid/M+ tool in retail where you can simply list groups and have people apply or list yourself showing you are looking for a group to help reduce the spam in cities and make it so you don’t have to just stare at a chat box.

I call BS. My group with only a free action potion 7/7’s BFD every reset in less than an hour. We’re not full BIS or any of that nonsense either.
