If you claim to be “hardcore” while using LFR and WQ to gear… and then moan here about how casuals are gearing up with welfare epics from LFR and WQ…
Irony.

There are two types:
People who raid for the thrill and challenge and boast about their achievement.
People who raid for gear progression and boast about their ilvl gear.
The second category are tilted about casuals getting gear.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen someone in LFR/wq/wf gear whining about casuals.
I usually only see either people with raid gear, or lvl 10 alts hiding their real main.
I’ve seen it… someone complaining about how the game caters to casuals and it’s so easy to gear up… when himself notes gearing up in LFR… lol.
Ive seen it mostly be raiders that dont give 2 craps about someone elses gear, but instead are left feeling unsatisfied when they work as a team to kill a heroic boss and its a side/downgrade from something as easy as a warfront.
Or even if they are progressing mythic, doing easy (for them) herioic clears still will give a couolple 415+ items per run. Which feels again very unsatisfying to spend hundreds of wipes on a new boss then shard the gear.
Ask him to show his world first achievement or keep quiet…
It always works lmao.
Ahhh, I am definitely referring to the second type then.
We have players who are around ilvl 400 who haven’t even completed all the dungeons, not even on normal difficulty. I don’t even mean on a certain character, I mean on their whole account haven’t completed the most basic content. If you guys can’t see an issue with a player having a heroic raiding gear ilvl without completing even the most basic content of the expansion but have gear of a heroic ilvl then there isn’t any reasoning going to happen.
I haven’t done a LFR since Emerald Nightmare.
Am I allowed to complain?
It’s very simple.
If there are only 2 types, then why don’t we simply give everyone Max Ilvl gear outside of raids as it would seem only type 2 people would be upset about this?
Why not just give the raid achievements to people who don’t use the free max lvl gear then?
Because you can devalue gear but you cannot devalue achievements.
Unless of course you buy runs. Runs
Right… so only give achievements who don’t use the free max level gear.
If you’re saying that everyone is bucketed into the 2 types you presented, then only the second type should be offended by such a proposal, right?
I’m trying to point out an extreme scenario to where you’d either agree that stance and have your bucket be true, or see that isn’t the case.
I’m just stating my opinion.
It’s possible the ultra rare third category exists:
Ones who raid for thrill and boast about achievements and gear and still get tilted.
You think the third type is “ultra rare”?
That seems to be another opinion on the matter.
And I believe your opinion is wrong. There are people who like the challenge, but also like the reward of getting better gear, but then they don’t brag about it. But rewards do lose their appeal the more easily obtained they are.
Yes I may be wrong or I may be right.
Because your answer is two absolute and is really based on zero empirical data… I’ll go with “you’re wrong”.
bull friggen crap.
That’s what I said?
Oh…you want the last word. Fine have it.
Huh? It’s always a matter of path of least resistance. No one goes and raids previous expansion content for the ilvl when you can easily get higher ilvl gear from easy current content.
Same thing here would apply. If you had a WQ that guaranteed you max ilvl gear - how many people would acquire gear from raiding versus the WQ? Basically nobody would.
And if raids didn’t provide better gear, how many people would still raid once they killed the last boss?
If Mythic didn’t provide higher ilvl than Heroic raiding do you know how many less guilds would raid mythic?
