Seriously, just tanked my +9 TD, never seen DPS struggle so much in basic mechanics, and I speak of this as both a DPS and Tank player, it’s not hard to switch target people, c’mon. The first fight we did fine, nothing to do but to berserk down the boss, as soon as we got to Jes Howlis, holy hell, we went from 0 deaths to 24. I never got so stressed out doing a M+.
Inb4: People claiming RIO fixes this problem.
Plot twist: He wasn’t using RIO.
Biggest Plot Twist: He used r.io, but they were boosted from buying 10s
It doesn’t fix it, but it does make it more likely you’ll be able to filter out people who don’t know what they’re doing.
If you’re living the PuG life you are going to have to accept that there is zero accountability.
Poorly performing players are part of the pool. They will keep getting invited to groups as long as name/class/ilvl are the only criteria the LFG shows group leaders. And there is no way to screen for those players among such useless criteria.
Best bet is to either use a better filtering system.
Or run with a group of known good players.
E.g. Guildies, Friends, or people you’ve grouped with before.
Ya gotta get out of that PuG life, friend. It’s just dragging you down.
If you have big dreams, don’t let PuG life get in your way. Choose your own path, don’t let your path change because of PuG life . Once you fall into the hole that is PuG life , its very hard to escape . Don’t put yourself in a place where you become dependent and feel trapped by PuG life.
Wow. J expected this to be about the third boss haha.
Its everyone’s fault but yours.
I have heard this one before.
Lol try doing a +4 with players sitting 400 iLVL and failing.
This fixes nothing because all we look for are players with 1K minimum for anything under a 10, and you need 10’s across the board before even hitting 1K.
It’s a stupid system and the quicker Blizzard get their own scoring that shows more than just a score the better.
I’ve had runs with highish IO scored, high iLVL players on low keys fail. I even took a 500 IO, 409 iLVL Warlock (only other ranged was healer) into Siege, had NO IDEA about the mechanics on the first boss, not even once did he kite the boss into the bombs, burned all his health on his speed boost and than when I asked if he knew the fight he got nasty and blamed us before leaving.
Raider. IO is the problem BibleThump
RIO is the only tool to help, make a decision to help if the player sorta knows what they doing…gear means Absolutely nothing this expansion…since you can get 390 to 400 without raiding or m+…
Hell, I’m not that good of a healer, but i have out heald other monks that are 15 to 20 ilvl above me in same raids and not by a little…
In my opinion what hurts Is the lack of community before all cross realms bs…(which is a necessary evil) If you group with a toxic are just had no clue person… They would have a harder and harder time to find groups… or either put in the effort to do a little better or not be so toxic .
Now wow is sort of like social media you can be anonymous and be as toxic or as crapy skill wise as you want to be and doesn’t affect you…
below 10 or even 12 you are only going to get new alts or people who have no idea what they are doing unfortunately, the only way to get past that wall without a fair bit pain is to not pug and only group with friends/guild members.
Me too!
Everything is always our fault.
Damned pet growl.
People complain about Raider IO as if it does nothing but create elitism. If it weren’t for RIO, people would just search people on the armory and look at what runs they’ve done on their character profile. RIO just makes that process a lot quicker and gives more detail.
FURTHERMORE, Raider IO is a blessing for alts, because without my mains information (1200~ IO, 3/9M) my alts struggled a lot more to get into groups but I recently linked my characters and they’ve been getting into groups more because even though my alts may not be the best geared they can trust me to be a good player based on my main.
You can easily pug your way well over 1k IO, the problem is people like OP that don’t really identify their own issues and improve as a player. One bad run isn’t going to stop someone from achieving what they want.
For what it’s worth, once you start pugging in the 12+ range you see a lot fewer undergeared alts and/or people that don’t know what they’re doing.
I’d also recommend adding players to bnet that you’ve enjoyed playing with. I now have a huge collection of contacts for M+ that I’ve met through pugging and these are all players that I can trust to have a decent run with.
its alllllllllll about that io score.
I don’t claim to be completely free of mistakes, but I at least know what I am doing in that specific dungeon, my interrupt was always ready to silence one of them, but hey, surprise surprise, I had to keep both J and his brother in check but only one silence. I mean, if this isn’t bad how about no one attacking the person getting mauled by his brother?
So yes, I’ve made mistakes, but at least I know what I am doing in TD.
lol i had someone not know how to do last boss of AD (8+) and killed someone key. They stood in front of the boss whole time.
I didn’t even get to complete(It was my key) they gave up in the last boss, the guy with the rifle. Hunter’s weapon broke midfight.
Pally tank can keep both Jus and Bobby interrupted most of the time. But yes, dps should be handling Bobby.
If they are dying so much I suspect they are not LOSing and getting hit by the knives though.
Haha what the. You can mount up there, they could easily repair and go another round.
The third boss is harder than the last tbh.
…but RaiderIO DOES show more than just the score. It show you what the highest run for that specific dungeon was, what the highest successful run that person has done on any dungeon, and how many successful runs he had under +10 and how many over +10.
Which are actually more important relevant info than the score. Have you actually used the addon or are you just guessing how it works?
