Been mount hunting. There are so many to get. Mog hunting too. In terms of current content, i do that all in a day, and go back to the current challenge.
I get some folks are mad they dont have much to do in the current content, but good lord, did they actually get EVERYTHING in the old content? I doubt it.
There is so much more to the game than the latest expac. And this is the first time in a long time ive felt free to go back without feeling like im falling behind.

I mean whatever you want. I’ll practice my rotation one day after work. Some times I’ll mount farm, sometimes I take a week and see how much gold I can make in a reset. Sometimes I pve twink at 20 and speed run dungeons just for fun and you get some pretty funny reactions sometimes. I’ll work on professions one day. Finish a storyline I want to know more about. Hell one time I grabbed a few friends and beers and we all went just outside the opposite factions capital as pandas and started a monk cult. Open world games are really what you make of it. Especially one that’s riddled with 20 years of content and systems.
Edit: id also like to note that while I probably play more than 97% of players I myself am still not even a daily players. I still take breaks I still play other games some nights. And I think that’s healthy

i was a very active m+ player in DF. i got 7 or 8 toons into the 2-2.5 score range somewhere across the expac.
I was trying to focus on just one toon (guardian druid) which I have done so far.
in DF, my day was really organzied around trying to run 3 or 4 M+ runs each day. i focused on trying to boost my m+ score.
i spent most of my early time in this expec with my druid gathering and delves. then getting zekvir down (after 200+ tries).
once I did all that, then I started into m+ and have not felt the same kind of fun I did in DF.
I never pushed the envelope that hard in m+, but I am now getting into +4s and it just feels kind of blah.
I tanked a necrotic wake +4 that I thought was mostly going well. we had one trash wipe right at the beginning (mostly my fault) and then a wipe at the last boss (not my fault). other than those two incidents, the run was smooth. never stopping, always moving.
yet we missed the timer. this isn’t even in the +7 where deaths are a bigger deal.
just felt too punishing.
so then I found myself afterwards just kind of cruising around on my warlock gathering herbs, doing WQs and waiting on a few timewalking dungeon runs and i was like, “maybe THIS is playing the game, too” and maybe I don’t worry so much about m+ and timers and stress…

Depends what im in the mood for. Dad gamer here, can only usually play even on weekends after my daughter is asleep. Only get a few hours each night.
That being said I am a longtime casual pvper so still pvp and been pushing solo bg blitz. Other than that it depends on the mood, get weeklies done (dailies only if I want something). Do a delve. Maybe just spend a night gathering and world pvping. Also I actually like 100% completing the side quests of the zones so I get chunks of that done at a time.
Today. World quests and weekly quests. open my chest.
other days, do dungeons and work out inbetween q’s
I do the Tama’s Weekly checklist on this toon. Do 2 Delves a day until I hit 8. I then pick flowers until I have all of the Knowledge points. Once I have this character geared, I will focus my next toon as my main for the week.
Basically, once my focus toon is done for the week, I then do two delves per 80. If I have the keys I make them bountiful. I then knock out their profession weeklies. Once those two things I are done, I move to my next 80. I have one of each profession on an 80 toon.
Once I have all of my 80’s stuff done I level my next alt. My goal is to have one of every class to 80, so I can tinker with them all.
My thought process is: Slow progression on whichever toon isn’t my main focus and be self-sustainable with professions. That way I don’t just do the same thing on the same toon, over and over again. The content stays fresh and I don’t blow a bunch of gold on stuff I can mostly produce myself.
It takes a lot of patience and discipline, which my personal life has made me well adept at. Plus, all of these activities only take an hour or less except for the focus toon, which fits my schedule perfectly.
- Crafting
- Delves
- Raiding
- World Quests/Weeklies
Those are the big things I do right now.
Omg, the moment you go “wait. This can be playing the game too” is absolutely one of the best feelings ever. I always had so many “have to” targets in order to “be relevant” and now…i dont care. Im ilvl 605 or so, i do not care about getting more gear, and I’m zooming around doing old achievements which are still challenging when one wrong move oneshots the boss.
Im having fun. There’s so much to the game that i ignored because it wasn’t “relevant”. Im a little shook just…playing with other goals in mind, and reminiscing over what i did do during each expac i revisit.
