If you’re a daily player

What do you do when you login every day? I like to play every day but there doesn’t seem to be much to do or much that I wanna do I guess. I don’t wanna run keys every day. It’s not fun. Raid is a weekly lockout so once that’s clear you just have to wait. What’s left? Delves? They’re…ok. World quests? The rewards are not worth the effort

RP,pick flowers, do dailies, chat with friends, maybe run a dungeon, really whatever happens.

Alts.

The core loop of this game is playing your class/spec… the only way to make it interesting for large amounts of time is to play that loop on different characters.

Well, I hop onto my main and I hit most, if not all of these:

  1. World Quests
  2. Pet Battles
  3. Farm Mounts
  4. Farm Achieves
  5. Farm Pets
  6. Farm Mogs
  7. Dailies
  8. Delves
  9. Covenant missions
  10. Garrison Missions
  11. Class Hall missions
  12. and if there is any time left over, Pet Battle PvP

This whole expac was designed for casuals like me. I do NOT touch PvP, M+, or raiding beyond LFR. I would rather level an alt that do some “hardmode” version of the content I have already seen, and will continue to see for another 21 months.

I can’t because of work but I do try.

I tend to hyper focus on one game. WoW has been my target for a bit:

Time poor days (work/family):

  • Get coffer keys
  • World quests
  • Delve
  • 1-2 LFR tiers of an expansion I haven’t got appearances for.

Time rich days:

  • M+ push
  • TWW Raid (pug or with my guild)
  • Help with full clears of old raids
  • Start on other expansion questlines (I have recently been fighting the Alliance in Nazmir and they just used a smoke trick).
  • Full clears of old raids for appearances

I try to enjoy the game as a whole.

Mostly Collecting achievements, Role-Play and PvP.

Also vibing around doing WQs, a delve or two, a dungeon or two, talking about lore with the RP community, exploring the old world, etc

(And alt leveling sometimes. Atm Leveling a Mag’har orc Role-playing as a Shadowmoon Clan orc)

I don’t know, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the game besides just the gear hunting end-game content

Alts. Is the key here.

And helps if you like pvp and other stuff as well.

Check dailies, see if anything useful is up for any of my characters.
Check the delves for the day, do some if I’m interested.
Maybe an LFR wing or two if its early in the week.
Mog runs.

Thats…that’s kind of it lol

Collect transmog I probably never use.

Gotta echo what other people said here. Alts.

And god is this the expansion to be an altoholic. Experimenting with hero specs has been a blast and has got to be my favorite features along with delves. It’s so easy to gear up if you know what you’re doing that you can get a character into the progression pipeline easily in a short span of time.

This has got to be one of the most alt friendly expansions in a good while. Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I had this much fun with an X.0 patch.

Well I do:

  1. Do quests
  2. Do dungeons
  3. Pet battles
  4. Farms transmogs
  5. Farm mounts
  6. Farm battle pets
  7. Play the AH
  8. Role play

And that’s all I ever do. I never do keys or raids or M+ because of toxic players. It seems like they’re kick-happy these days from what I’ve read on here.

Alts. Lots of alts. Considering reducing the number though.

A lot of time devoted to alts, including taking them from 70-80. I now have five (mage, evoker, priest, shaman, palladin) and I am going to wait till the anniversary event to do the 2 healers I don’t have at max (monk, druid).

Right now, the daily routine is like this:

  1. All craft orders done across all five alts
-the currently includes alchemy, tailoring, enchanting, leatherworking, and blacksmithing…BS has suffered so much due to the pridce of null stone

  2. Each alt has a deginated day, and on that day will:
-do all weeklys quests AND chests
-all world quests that give keys or valor stones, and will unlock any special assignments if present.
-take the four keys obtained and do four bountiful delves

Up until now, I would continue levelling up an alt, but they are all now 602-611, so I’m going to start doing Mythic+ on my shaman once the daily chores are done.

However, levelling up alts via delves to tier 8, which basically forces me to learn the class and play around with talents, has proven to be redicously enjoyable. I wish there was an equivalent for healing because I felt they did a very nice job of making me learn the dps spec I was playing.

I do my Lamplighter satchel quests, mostly because I just enjoy doing them. Just got the lynx mount today from one.

There’s almost always some impromptu PvP over on those farms in Warmode, which I eagerly participate in.

After that, maybe a delve or two. Just to see if I get lucky with cosmetics (usually not, I’ve got one cosmetic to show off for all of the delves I’ve done lol).

Right now, using Timewalking to level a tank alt, and step foot into M+, which I pretty much haven’t done at all since Legion.

PvP is my “go-to” activity in WoW for years now, I can just queue for a battleground or a shuffle, go do chores in the background until it pops, and go play.

WoW is a great game for when you need to multi-task, lol. Especially the queued content.

Oh, forgot to mention- I’m a pet-battle savage as well. Halfway to 1,000 PvP battle pet wins, for the “Trainer” title. I do several battles each day.

Weeklies on main and then spam Heroics on the Priest.

I was pvping but got bored of it really fast.

I can tell I don’t play this game as much as other people. I play daily, but sometimes I only will play for a couple hours. I think last week I went like 3 days without logging in.
I play all 3 roles though and do PVP, raid and M+, the game play is dense when I actually do play.

BGs. Gathering or whatnot while waiting in queue. Some other chores. Feels a lot like a rehashed DF.

If it’s the start of the week, I get my ~4 weekly caches done first on my main, for keys and some gold. Then, I do my four bountiful delves on my main. The next day, I do the other 4 T8 delves to get my vault full. After my main is done, I pick an alt or two to do the same with on the third day, and over the new few days I run a couple of delves here and there to populate some vaults just for the fun of it.

I’m in a weird place right now where I wanna play several classes (priest, mage, rogue, in particular) but I want to make Dracthyr and I don’t want to pay for race changes, so I have to wait until the patch before I level them.

Apart from delves, caches, etc, I also do a lot of RP.

One thing you can do is to create alts in different class/specs. Just one alt doubles the amount of things available to you.

Nah most things are once per account now so you only get slightly more to do with an alt, what you really need is an alt for every spec race class and faction

I have several alts that were able to pick up the campaign thread and start going through the story again. They can all do follower dungeons and delves. That’s mostly the activities that I do, what can’t they do?
