If world mobs can scale up with level and gear

Can their hp scale down for healer specs?
Playing a dps is 1000% more enjoyable for dailies/questing.

All I really want is to spend about the same amount of time doing quests/dailies as dps players do.

You can freely change spec if you feel dps would be easier. And healers dps more since Legion than most expansions before. But yes if you want to do more dps… then dps should be the better option.

I never said i wanted more dps. I said simply, I want to spend the same amount of time doing dailies as dpsers do.

Yes and why then a dps shouldn’t do the same amount of healing you can do while doing wqs?

They do! Or do you think im cranking out 30k hps doing dailies?

Healer damage was upped to compensate for that though, you’re still a Healer. if you only had a DPS spec like some sort of Shadow ability.

If you’re doing wpvp you could. Which means that healers would just be more advantaged because of being able to kill mobs as fast and being hard to kill/support other players.

If you want to do WQ faster then switch to a DPS spec. They are not going to give us enough damage to kill things just as fast as DPS while keeping the full utility of being a healing spec.

Man, I wish I could pull several mobs at once and keep my HP bar full all the time. Maybe they should decrease mob’s damage so DPS specs can survive like healers do.

… Wait, i’m a warlock! I can already do all that!

Then use your dps spec.

You might not have ideal traits or what-not but it will be fine.

You have more than one spec.

I AM NOT ASKING FOR MORE DPS. World mob health scaling already exists. It should just scale less or down for healers.

WELL that’s because the concept of dps is mostly how much time it takes to kill something. If you kill it quicker, you’re doing more dps. That scaling hide it or not.

Which “increases” your dps by giving you less health to chew through.

Different number being fiddled with, same result.

Go shadow.

That amounts to the same thing. If you want to kill things more quickly then choose the appropriate spec, it’s not rocket science.

Holy coffee, do you guys math? Damage Per Second is not dependent upon the health of the enemy.

Are you trolling or did you forget to put your thinking cap on this morning?

Okay, OP…

Mob has 20k health. Smite hits it for 2k. You did 10% of its health in one attack. Cool.

New Mob has 10k health. Smite hits it for 2k. You did 20% of its health in one attack.

Your damage “went up” percentage wise though the actual hit stayed the same.

The issue is that ilevel scaling doesn’t have the same effective result for healers (and tanks) as it does for dps.

HP scales with ilevel, and the scaling amount is not adjusted based on role / spec.

Damage done scales with ilevel, yet scales much faster for dps than for healers (or tanks - witness the adjustments to tank threat).

The effective result is that ttk falls rapidly for dps characters as ilevel increases, while it falls (if it falls) much slower for healers (and tanks).

Just another fail of ilevel scaling - but one I don’t see them bothering with as Blizzard takes the same stance of most in this thread with a ‘just deal with it and re-spec damage if you want to see a decrease in ttk’.

This would be an invisible change for everyone else and wouldn’t effect anything else aside from allowing healers to complete quests faster. Why every dps in this thread is so hard against it is beyond me. I’ve completely stopped doing dailies on this character (outside of the galvatronic oscillator) and only do dailies on my fury warrior. It’s a huge difference.
