If we're going underground next patch

Even though we’ll be underground kinda far away from Silithus on the Dragon Isles, do you think we will be able to see any kind of effect the giant sword in Azeroth might be having on the planet?

Or are we just gonna continue ignoring that again?

Tries my absolute hardest to not make a “What sword?” joke

There is no sword in Silithus

yo…what sword?

Look anyone who knows basic first aid should know you don’t pull out a blade until you get to a medical facility. We just need to wait until Azeroth drifts into a Titan or First One hospital.

why would we? the sword is on the other side of the planet

I think they’d like everybody to forget about that.

Yeah but there’s a lady inside the planet and maybe we’ll see her and she will be like “ouch there’s a sword in me”

Isn’t she the one who gives you a sword ?

It may not go through at that part or not all the way to the other side.

That would be funny though lol

its hard to say geographically where it is but i don’t think its quiet that far.

There is no effect the sword has on the planet anymore… we sealed up the bleeding by the end of BFA and we sacrifice our legendaries from Legion to counteract the energies the sword was pouring into the planet itself… meaning the sword is just there… like a piercing. Which is an apt comparison because according to:

The sword is not that deep in the planet… just based on the planet’s diameter and the trigonometry used to figure out the sword’s hidden length.

In fact, considering Azeroth is apparently either much denser in mass than earth or much much larger in volumetric diameter… presumably with a comparable or higher atmosphere, this sword is barely a splinter in the planet’s surface and is by no means at 2 1/12 miles long sticking out of the atmosphere either.

It’s just there.

Honestly - there is a MASSIVE demon sword, jammed, into our planet.

How have we not veered into the sun or outer space so far? Or, how has the planet not shattered in half? Or ruptured in some capacity?

We need a new planet.

Answered this above, the sword is actually not that massive… nor that deep in the planet… ARGUS a second planet in our orbit even if just by magical portal network would’ve done much much worse, specifically some of the things you’ve stated.

If you have problems with the physics of it wait until you see Outland or Argus.

The fact that we can walk around in these and Telogrus rift all but confirms Azerothians and many other species do not need air… despite the drowning mechanic… and I have sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many questions about that…

Also they just basically eat anima while in the Shadowlands and that also just… shudder (Anima is consumed by and created by souls, however I’d presume it has no physical nutritional value)

I’m pretty sure Blizzard had no idea what to do about the sword beyond using it as a MacGuffin to get rid of artifact weapons.

The sword was neutralized. We drained our artifacts to do it, and then spent the next expansion cleaning up the woons. That story’s done. Move on.

Also as the video also points out, while the physical sword is not that deep or really that impactful itself… the fact that it has relatively large mass moving at a relatively fast speed means the actual impact at planet surface WOULD be lethal to most life on the planet…

The fact that ONLY a small small subsection of Silithus is cratered by this thing is an impossible miracle in and of itself… cause Kalimdor itself as a continent should now be beginning a new ice age and anybody with ears dead from shattered profusely bleeding ear drums.

I’d go as far as to say that the sheer concussive force of all the collective sound and air this thing would be pushing away from the impact site would probably break most of the bones in a person’s body if close enough to ground zero.
