Not gonna write an essay, but there’s a bunch of branching issues the seperate the PvP Server Experience from Warmode, so I want to do things correctly and organize the points.
I would love to have pvp servers back. I miss them, miss seeing the spontaneous excitement wpvp caused when a group or even just 1 good rogue would start attacking a factions city.
I miss the notifications in my chatbox from WorldDefense, flying like crazy to the area being attacked to join in or just watch and laugh.
I miss the days when someone would kite in a big boss into the city, too.
Those days were so much fun.
/sigh. I miss so much what this game used to be.
People have some crazy rose colored glasses. Literally every PvP server eventually became single faction dominant. PvP servers were a waste lol.
Area 52 is horde heavy yet many horde players also had and still have alliance toons on A52 that they’d use to attack cities, start up wpvp.
It was always fun, they’re great players as most were raiders, etc… and had high end gear and the skills as well as a sense of humour.
I miss that so much so no, pvp servers were not a waste of time.
You can literally do that right now in Warmode lol.
People are confusing server changes with people changes. Most of the people that cared about that kind of stuff just don’t play the game anymore.
And yeah, they were a waste.
Not that I’ve seen. WorldDefense is dead, I don’t see anyone attacking cities anymore.
You can’t faction dominate a server to the point where people are forced to spend money to get away from you with war mode.
Obviously worse.
That literally just supports what I just said lol.
The fact that people aren’t doing what you literally can do is proof enough that hardly anymore cares about it anymore.
Is there any evidence that this will ever happen or are we just tacking on requests to something that’s not happening?

It’s just one of those things. Can’t explain it in words. I never turn on WM but i’d totally play on an old school style PvP server in retail if they had one. And I’m more the type to get ganked than gank someone else.
