So you see less people but those are people that want to PvP in open world and not forced to be on a PvP because of friends
I don’t think they will ever bring back PvP servers but that’s just me

Im on an rp server so yea not many pvpers.
there are probably more pvpers on old pvp servers
They could have infinite popups, one every time you log into the server, and that wouldn’t stop PvErs from joining because, guess what, they’d want to play with their friends. This has always been the mammoth problem with PvP servers; they force separation.
Addressing the overaggressive sharding tech WoW uses would go a long way toward fixing the problem players perceive War Mode to have.
…we have talked this before and i will repeat my self.
Just because you want to play with your friends and don’t like pvp doesn’t mean we should not try pvp servers again.
PvErs are not so special that they should dictate what happen on none pve servers.
The only world pvp I enjoyed was Tarren Mill in vanilla. Beyond that world pvp has largely involved corpse camping or picking on low levels.
I will say though, that I’m down for there being a PvP server or two. It doesn’t really affect me in any way and if it makes others happy, why not?
That’s what I’m trying to say. Why not? If anything it might give some hope to the pvp community that we are heard finally
1,000% agree. I say just remove WM, and merge more PvP servers. Bring the feeling of people being around back.
And honestly I don’t care if war mode stays or goes, I just would like to see 1 server where pvp players can play like we used to. I don’t like war mode but if pve players want to keep it on their “normal” realms, go for it. I just won’t be there.
That’s what non-PvE realms were lol. So what did WM help? It divided all servers, PvE servers didn’t want it, and neither did we. Only people I see WM catering to is people on PvP servers who didn’t like PvP which is…lol.
PvPers aren’t so special that they should get their own servers. You have War Mode.
And what makes RP or PVE players so special that they feel like they need to argue against something that isn’t even relevant to them?
It is relevant. To everyone.
PvP servers don’t exist anymore. Neither do PvE servers. It’s all in War Mode. Toggled off? You’re on a PvE server. Toggled on? You’re on a PvP server.
But what pvp players are trying to explain over and over again is why war mode it ‘not’ the same as a pvp server. Players like you don’t understand because you probably don’t keep war mode in all the time like we do. We see the problems it has and want a change
You know your arguing against other people getting to play a game they pay for just like you. Do you understand how entitled that makes you look? No one is asking them to take pve servers away, no said you or anyone else has to play with us.
Most of the pvpers in here are okay with blizz putting their finger on the scale to keep it balanced. What gives you the right to tell others how to have fun?
Then address the problems you’re seeing. You’ve mentioned that you don’t see the same people, that phasing is problematic, and that populations are inconsistent. None of that is War Mode’s issue, what you’re actually taking umbrage with is sharding and yes, Blizzard’s sharding is really, really overaggressive. Tell them to focus on and fix up sharding and you’ll probably see your War Mode experience improve greatly.
You don’t understand why PvP servers were the problem in the first place. They divided the playerbase even further than the Faction Divide did and gave players like me a Morton’s Fork; either don’t play with friends or play on a hated server. War Mode is an attempt to address that problem and once sharding is adjusted so it’s not so aggressive, the experience with War Mode will improve dramatically.
You do know that for a very long-time horde and ally couldn’t guild up or quest, right? Had nothing to do with pvp servers.
There are hundreds of thousands of players you can play with you won’t notice ten thousand of them if they are on pvp servers, pvpers will notice the difference though we know we can log on and get to do pvp with our friends and enjoy the game we want, and no damage is done to pve.
I don’t know you and your friends and from what little you said, I’m sorry your friends had fun on a server you didn’t like, and that if they still played, they would probably go back, but that’s part of having friends’ you guys can talk it out and see if maybe everyone makes alts to play on two different servers.
The problem with pvp servers is blizz was hand off and let players go wild unless you were on ED and we held on for a long time, and most of the pvp players here want blizz to enforce some kind of balance.
I agree sharding is a problem, it’s too much I’ve read post where even rp guilds are having a problem with it.
they should do this, it would be amusing to watch it crash and burn…
Lord of the Flies meets WoW…
It’s been awhile and since I don’t play classic, I recall being able to turn the PvP flag on/off on PvP servers. If I’m wrong then I’m wrong, but if I’m right then what’s the difference between /pvp and war mode? Besides it being easier to /pvp at will.
Pretty sure that Blizzard had the data to determine how popular world PvP was when they made the decision to eliminate PvP servers.

No, you couldn’t flag/unflag in pvp servers whenever like war mode allows. The only rule I recall is you were not flagged until a certain level. 20 I think.
Remember when we used to raid each other capitals and defend them
No one even cares if stormwind/orgrimmar is attacked anymore, if it ever gets attacked. We didn’t even get much for doing it. A goofy ahh bear and a silly achievement but we waged war anyway.
