If we can't leave M+, end the dungeon when timer ends

But does leaving add up? Does it ever reset? Is it how many times you leave per day? Week? season? These are all questions on my mind. Especially as someone with alts.

I plan to just avoid M+ until we get more information. Because I don’t want to be hostage to bad groups who have 0 chance to time and will likely go way over the timer if they want to complete. Too many jumping into keys like +5s without knowing basic mechanics or their class

Sure. I am ok with more clarity.

But its pretty clear this is targeting serial disbanders. People who are intentionally joining a key to disband, etc.

If you feel you are leaving so many keys, so often, on a regularly basis…It is probably best for you to avoid m+. The intent is to get rid of that negative playstyle.

While doing absolutely nothing about why people leave keys in the first place. I only leave keys if they’re awful. By awful I mean 1 person is dying over and over, people aren’t doing mechanics on bosses, we’re wiping on bosses(more then once or multiple in the same run). Low keys are seriously rough right now, the amount of players who should be in m0s or +2s but are trying to do 4’s and 5’s is crazy high

By that reasoning, if you were running more you’d be completing more as well. I’m quite sure they’d consider the ratio of completed runs to abandoned runs when assessing whether or not someone is griefing.

Cool.

So you are very obviously not the people being talked about in the m+ leaving ban.

Which means you have nothing to worry about.

I liked this idea. Another alternative would be that even if time runs out, you earn the same amount of coins and also keep the key at the same level.

Getting any reward for failing the key is already hilarious.

It doesnt need to be even easier.

No, M+ is not easy.

Sure it is. Its designed to have an easy option by having infinite scaling.

+2s are very easy.

That sounds absolutely ridiculous to do to people, as you still get loot at the end and credit for the Vault if you finish but don’t time it.

I’m in shock and awe.

btw, it’s nunya gd business why I leave a key

Just wait for others to leave. Eventually, someone will crack.

But not everyone needs end of dungeon loot, some people are just crest farming. And I already find the 5 crests on a failed key not a worth reward to stay and finish. I’m also fine if untimed keys didn’t count toward the vault. Sounds more fair too actually. If we aren’t supposed to leave M+, we need a realistic amount of time to stay in them before leaving is considered to be acceptable. Since opinion isn’t a fair metric, the timer seems like the fairest method to go on.

My take away is that they are the kind of person likely to suffer consequences from this change, since they said several times they leave groups for any and every reason.

Not “any and every”

→ People aren’t doing mechanics either don’t know them or ignoring them
→ People don’t do stuff like interrupt (as a healer puts a lot of extra stress on heals)
→ Tank who is over pulling (also added pressure/stress… especially if causing a wipe/deaths)
→ Being in a group with DPS who don’t even out DPS a tank
→ Keys that very clearly wont time when I am farming crests

These are imo all valid reasons why I leave keys

That leaves some who want it and some who want the Vault credit and you’re telling everyone they can’t get that now.

I’m not arguing whether they are valid or not. It’s a lot of reasons and respectfully, I am choosing to interpret that as any and every reason.

The OP needs to learn to run with static groups instead of of overreacting to a blue post and trying to take a wrecking ball to M+.
