I know what you said regarding haste. I am saying that is not the issue. Give me 0% haste or 100% haste, it doesn’t matter, that is not the reason I think the Void Form Mechanic is flawed.
The “Fix” doesnt come from haste imo. It comes in the form of removing Void Bolt entirely or make it so you can case it outside Void Form & capping the duration / stacks of VF so it will always be THAT amount and nothing more or less.
Sure at that point it becomes pointless and boring. I agree, so that’s why I say just remove it at that point and just stick with Shadow Form and make VF a talent if people really want it.
Hate, dislike, feels bad etc. semantics.
I’m not.
I WANT options. But I also want options that make sense. It makes no sense to give an ability that only works in long fights to an early leveling part of the spec.
I ask you, do you really think that once all these magical changes are applied to VF that it will suddenly work for quick fights?
I ask you you this now, why couldn’t blizzard just “tweak” the numbers as everyone else are attempting to do in order to make that work? Why did they instead add DP back in, in an attempt to solve just that issue? I know they are out of touch with the class, but I do think they know how bad VF is and how much they really cant touch it without it becoming OP in raiding. That is why they added DP back instead as something completely disconnected and which competes with VF, because they know how complicated it is because of how poorly implemented the core aspect of ramping damage that makes it so defining and different.
Options continued:
We already went over this in the other thread (link). In fact it was everyone else saying that I wont be able to “opt” out. I first said they can “opt” in and that was hit with a whole lot of NO and then I suggested the ability to “opt” out and that was always met with “just don’t use it” to which that is a BS response because if I CAN use it then I MUST use it. Its that simple.
I inferred from what you say in this that you want people to have the option to play with VF early on. well Early on would be they have to play with VF or can “try” during leveling and dungeon when things die quickly.
My point is that if you give them a tool that is useless from the beginning but then later on it becomes useful. Then all the early interactions with this now “useless” tool will convince them to either think they are doing something wrong and get frustrated and quit OR they will ignore it completely and never touch it until end game anyway. So its a waste of an early talent slot or baseline ability imo.
Upset? because i’m using CAPS? I’m not yelling lol. I am just driving a point that i think is important.
I mean that was a year ago.
Priest was at 8% and in the top 1/2 of classes (just barely)
The 1st link i gave you, numbers show its just above shaman, which is the lowest.
The tread is that is going down faster relativity compared to the other classes.
You can blame that on borrowed powers or BFA or w/e but the fact is, its going down faster then other classes. That is my point.
