This question comes with the presupposition that they would have the resources to revamp the world properly (which, if they didn’t spend time making 1000 systems, I believe they would). Updated graphics, quests, etc.
It can be anything: dungeons, raids, mounts, professions. Literally, if they did a soft reset of the game (make all previous content accessible as legacy content, but make the revamped version the default and canonical world), what would you want to see?

Yeah, they definitely need more dungeons. Another thing that’s sacrificed in favor of working on stuff like conduits and soulbinds.
I’m not necessarily against Mythic+ or anything, either. I think it’s a unique and interesting way to provide end-game content in smaller doses for those who don’t have as much time. I actually really loved it in Legion and some of BFA.
With that said, I feel like each dungeon’s uniqueness is sacrificed because of this, and would be interested in a different kind of challenge mode that makes each dungeon its own unique challenge to overcome while still providing gear as M+ does.
The original zones from before Cataclysm. Deathwing is dead fix the damage he wrought.

I’d rather see a revamp of Outlands and Northrend if it was a simple revamp (similar as Cata was).
But if it was a total revamp, with new classes and races, then everything.
Mhm. I mean, some things you just can’t repair (i.e. the scar in the Barrens), but it’d be great to see a healing world where it’s applicable. I think it’s finally time for the Plaguelands and the Ghostlands to be near fully healed, for example.
This is what I’m gettin’ at ;). I’d love to see Outland and Northrend revamped too, but this would be a revamp from the ground up.

I would love to see Lordaeron reclaimed by the alliance, so the plaguelands reclaimed and cleared out and returned to its former glory. Would be pretty cool to have stratholme cleared out and turned into a new capital city. I’m sure there would be all sorts opportunities for quests in re-establishing the kingdom. I’ll keep dreaming though lol.

The rise of the Razorfen Empire in the Southern Barrens! With the Horde in a shambles, the pig-folk make their move toward consolidating and expanding their territory.
And a couple more bridges wouldn’t hurt.
Edit: I’d also like to see the big dam rebuilt, and turned into a functional hub, with tunnels, a flight deck, and whatnot within the face of the dam itself. I want a big damn dwarf face carved in stone, leaking water, that I can fly into and land and recapture the glory of the dwarven homeland.

I’d like to see them built with a GW2 mindset. Every zone having a uniquely contained narrative tailored to its environment as to not have it feel outdated as time goes on. Appropriate scaling tech so max level players can assist lower level players and still feel awarded in some form and keep the world alive. Updated graphics of course. Also different events and world bosses that just get scaled upwards throughout the years with new level caps, again, to keep the old world alive.
Leveling in GW2 is amazing. Ive got a charr warrior Im working on right now, and every old zone Ive gone into has a bunch of players doing a variety of activities. It’s even more epic when those max level players need my help to stay in the fight. I rescued a level 80 as a lv37 tank when he was downed by getting him back up. He thanked me. Also 7 of us tried to take down this bandit world champion at lv40 in the Harathi Highlands and she took ALL of us out and we were fighting like hell. Was so fun lmfao.

This is neat, but I do have to say that it’s funny how they took Arathi, added an H at the beginning, and made it Hinterlands (the zone to the north of Arathi) instead of Highlands and made that a zone name xD

Yeah I noticed that too. Even the zones design is very Arathi Highlands esque. I think the GW2 developers took a LOT of inspirations from WoW. The Sylvari I think they’re called even have their lore tailored around “the dream”, awakening from it etc. Their new expansion “End of Dragons” also reminds me a lot of MoP, venturing to a new land with that more asian aesthetic.
Jintha’alor and every other Troll city rebuild. With that update all off the Hinterlands and also give more space to the Wildhammers. A real city.
All Forest Troll tribes joining the Horde.
Yes even the Amani and make Zul’Aman a capital (aside from the Dungeon).
Revantusk village expanded.
Give the Frostmane tribe a real home.
Rebuild the tribes in Stranglethorn.
Make the huts of the Witherbark larger.
A new capital for the Forsaken.
Resettle Gilneas with Worgen.
Give us the layout of the original Iron Forge (so Alpha the massive one) with updated graphics.
Make a cool spooky zone.
Make all villages and towns larger (aside from perhaps Stormwind).
An option to visit and run the old version of the Sunken Temple.

I would just want the graphics brought up to the standard that WOD introduced.
Love to see vanilla buildings and trees ect to look as sharp and detailed as the stuff in WOD legion and BFA.
Same with all the mods and NPCs, love to be questing on a alt and all the mobs like gnolls and kolbolds look as sharp as the quillback in BFA. Take the husky northren human NPCs and swap them out for the Kul’tiran models, and the beta pirate models swapped out for the newly released human models/tones and hair.

I would like for them to remove the War Fronts (push them off to their one shard) and update those areas to reflect the current status. So the Alliance would be controlling both and the NEs would be resettling in Darkshore. I would also like to see the Worgen moving back into their lands, it has been long enough and anyone who has actually visited the area can see that the blight is almost completely gone.
Not sure with the Forsaken, I can see them being given back Lordearon if Calia requested it. But given the crazy amount of blight used there, it probably wouldn’t be safe for quite some time. Maybe relocate them to the Eastern Plaguelands, there is plenty of room up there and some ruins they could rebuild from.

Sentinel Hill no longer on fire. That’s all I want. That can’t be too hard, right?

I got a few, mostly northern EK stuff.

What is going on in Tirisfal? From one of the books written recently about the sights of the Eastern kingdoms, they confirmed that the deadly plague Sylv launched is starting to wane and fade away in the glades and upper level of the keep, except below to the Undercity which is still inaccessible. Would love to see a Andorhol styled restoration of Tirisfal and the upper level of Lordaeron keep/castle for the Forsaken to begin anew (There is no need to hide in the basement of the kingdom.) As they keep pushing for Calia to be the rightful heir of Lordaeron and leader of the Forsaken (reeeee)

Eastern Plaguelands update. We got bits of it being changed in Cata with it showing the corruption of the plague being dispelled and greenery is starting to return like in Western Plaguelands. If my first point of repairing and rebuilding Tirisfal gets yeeted to the Alliance because Forsaken are stinky, the Forsaken can see if they can take Stratholme and use it for their home. That place has been frozen in time since release, it’s about time for the Forsaken to take it as it’s free (kinda on fire) real estate ™.

I honestly think that is what will happen. Calia will take over leadership of the Forsaken and request that Lorderon be returned to them. She is after all the only “surviving” member of the royal family and a great many of the Forsaken are citizens. It would probably piss the Worgen off to no end
Zidormi, so I could go back to the old world (as it is now) when I wanted to.
Once that’s in place, I don’t care what they do to the game, turn all of Azeroth into a steampunk techno discoball as long as I don’t have to be a part of it I don’t care.
