You get 200 valor from a dungeon that increases someone’s rating. You get 35 from callings.
I thought that was a change after the patch. Did it always give bonus if someone gained rating?

So, after you hit initial cap, 3 dungeons are your callings a week hits the weekly increase.
It’s the only content that is popular and keep people playing the game.
That literally already happens.
Keeping a bad system bad just for the sake of hypothetical people doing hypothetical things is stupid.
Scrap the keys. Let us pick the dungeon we want, at the level we want, at any time. No restrictions.
WoW is nothing but dumb restrictions for their own sake, and I’m tried of it.
Why do people call for the removal of things some people enjoy? Just don’t do them let the other people enjoy them problem solved
They’re not asking for M+ to be removed, they’re asking for the key items themselves to be removed. As in, the game telling you what dungeon you’re allowed to run, and what level you’re allowed to run it at.
My friends and I were trying to get 3k this season, and for the longest time, our best Necrotic Wake was a 15, while all the other keys were 20+, just because we couldn’t get a Wake key, no matter how many times we re-rolled.
The system is stupid.
For most of them its because theres BIS gear thats required for raiding and a required item level to be able to max upgrade gear. Yeah theres some who enjoy the challenge but the vast majority are doing it for io and gear. There isnt that many ppl pushing 22+ keys. Some but alot stop after getting KSM and their portals
Been many threads about it without much traction. I do agree though, just put in a font to choose the level. With the mythic score could be as easy as being able to do x level dungeon you need x level score (fortified and tyrannical separate score needed if those keep going into expansions).
At least for pugging, if there is a key you like to do then you will just queue for that one (assuming you can get in). If you are in a premade you might not have that same luxury, we have all had those weeks where the whole group keeps ending up with 1 dungeon.
Just seems like a font would be overall better.
This would be true if score = skill. There might be a correlation, but not causation. We have all seen players with the appropriate score with zero skill. Keys not degrading or being able to “pick your level” will only exacerbate score inflation because you can only go up.

Now as much as I enjoy M+, it’s not how I would personally like to see dungeon challenges, however that being said I don’t advocate for the removal of content other people enjoy, especially when it doesn’t affect what you are doing or want to do.
No m+ level +15 +16 +20 etc
Maybe a different system than keys. Perhaps every key starts at a 0 and the group picks up nodes that increase difficulty as they go
Keys are really the only reason I even log in anymore. I’ll even hit KSM this week. Then I won’t have to log in unless I want to raid log. I’m super excited about it.
I do wish I could pick & choose which key I get though.
