I removed my back peddle key almost 20 years ago. So, no it wouldn’t matter to me.

I only use it for tanking, and I don’t main tank, so I’d be alright.
Look, back peddling is objectively terrible 99% of the time, but removing any sort of movement options from the game is immensely stupid.
Back peddling is nice for extremely precise microspacing (i.e. for tanks in specific cases).
I think they should add 360 movement, when you press backwards your character runs backwards instead of backpaddling, though they should keep an optional keybind for RPers.
I need to backpedal because, and I have no idea why this is, monsters keep getting behind me. Not the ones programmed to do this, the normal ones. I pull them, they charge toward me, they end up behind me.
Nothing like the tank having to turn their back on the boss to adjust a bit!

Yes because I’m a scrub who backpedals.
Though it was also occasionally useful in my tanking days.
Simpler solution- remove the back pedaling movement penalty.
