If we discover there are more “human kingdoms” or even elf like things or even other humanoid beings I guess, is there any specific culture you’d want them sort of based on?
For me i think of European ones, we have yet to see “germanic” type culture. We sort of vaguely see it with the dwarves and by extension earthen. but very vaguely,
The arathi seem to be there own thing.
I think basing a race on germanic cultures would be too similar to the Empire from Warhammer fanasty though. They also missed the chance to give the undead German influence and accients.
I’d also like to see a Rome based kingdom in the future, I guess the Ogres were vaguely based, but we wont ever see anything like that again, So many you can say Ogres established a rival empire on the other side of the planet and fight the arathi or something?
Humans actually have decent standard fanasty lore but it’s over shadowed a lot by non readers, and the fact blizzard doesnt really want to include a lot of stuff like that.
The human hertiage armor questline touched on things like nobles rivalys and such which was a good start. This is a side rant by I wish we could get more personalized drama about the inuniverse politics, like, for all intents and purposes it just seems like no matter what happens outside the books most clans are always united.
I want to see more corrupt human nobles, I want to see dwarf clans disagreeing, I WANT to see more Orcish clan clashes and Tauren/troll tribes.
But yeah, for me it would be something germanic that would be interesting. I want to see the origin of lederhosen and go to the Das Krankenhaus and fight geist and and see those mitteldeutsches Haus and the city be something like Grünwaldenhausen and a main character be Friedrich Vormelker or something.
