If they did decide to give some kind of promotion, it would be to people who are not currently subscribers, and the whiny entitled complaints on the forum about “muh free stuff” would be deafening.

I think this would be a bit unethical. People are quarantining themselves, might as well take advantage!
I’d support the sale of a pet or mount where the proceeds go to an organization/hospitals/a charity looking to combat this. That’s the opposite direction of thinking though.

Probably because the Classic crowd is full of people who used to play on private servers because they couldn’t afford to pay the $15/month for retail. There’s a direct correlation everyone knows it…

Movies made during war time were done so to either boost domestic morale during wartime or to commemorate the sacrifices made by the men who bled for them.
And yes, in American tradition, to make a profit.
But quite frankly a pet for charity sales would be more appropriate.

While those dying from the virus isnt something to cheer upon , you seem to forget how this affects everyone else , only to help save those that are “at risk” . So yea companies offering free stuff is deeply appreciated when this is no more dangerous than a flu , just extremely contagious …
At the rate the market is going, no company is going to be able to afford “offering free stuff.”

Please stop…it is quite the opposite people are stuck inside. Also giving anything free in the current way the economy is going is bad enough. But giving away a free month sub because of this would be the worst Blizzard would literally be throwing away money.
Not that I think anything should change, this would be the opposite - the time to cash in. Supply and demand doesn’t mean that when demand is high you cut price, haha.
But you can already try it for free, anyone can. Up to level 20, with heavy restrictions.
