I am Blom, once a knight of Lordaeron, now High Commander of the Alliance Vanguard. I have led soldiers into the darkest places, fought in battles where the very air reeked of blood and death, and seen men and women rise to their greatest moments of honor. But I have also seen cities burn.
First, Theramore. A city that stood as a beacon of hope and cooperation, reduced to rubble by a single strike — the casualty of a war that should have never been. It was a blow, yes. But one that, tragically, we were told to forgive. The Warchief’s plans had no consequences. The lives lost were given no justice. And what did we do? We moved on. As if the dead would rest easier with appeasement.
Then came Teldrassil. A home. A world tree. The heart of a people. I watched as it burned, its ashes drifting on the wind like a curse. Thousands of lives lost in the flames, and once again, the Horde paid no price. They destroyed a sacred home, and we were told, once more, to forgive, to make peace, to look forward.
But where was the justice? Where was the reckoning? The Horde razes cities, and we are left to bury the dead. We talk of peace as if peace can be built on the backs of unavenged lives. We talk of diplomacy as if words can undo the violence, the horror.
No. Peace without justice is not peace. It is surrender.
I am tired of waiting for someone else to act. I am tired of hearing empty promises from those who claim to lead us. How many more cities must burn? How many more innocents must die before the Alliance finally remembers what it means to fight for justice?
I will not stand idle. If the leadership of the Alliance cannot find the courage to act — if they will not hold the Horde accountable — then I will. The Vanguard will act, whether or not the council approves. There will be no more cities left in ash. No more blood left unavenged.
I will be the reckoning. I will be the consequence. If the Horde cannot be brought to justice through diplomacy, then it will be through force. And I will lead us, through the fire, through the storm, to the justice our people deserve.
