If the Alliance can't get High Elves, Then Give the Option to the Horde

So if their eye color depends on the color of fluids they drink… What happens if you feed them batteries?

No. Alliance high elves or the fight continues forever.

humans did that for power, nothing more nothing less.
at this period they didn’t join the alliance because there was no such thing

the first alliance came about because of the orcish invasion

either way it was an exchange of services
the human armies fight and die in the troll wars in exchange for tutelage in the way of magic

the debt was repaid, as evidenced by the fact that dalaran even exists

at first yes, but they quickly became one of the most important pieces of the alliance when they pledged more towards the war effort

the alliance of lordaeron included SW
and i wish the alliance players would make up their mind
either the forsaken are the people of lordaeron and you’re trying to take their land without justification
or they’re not…in which case blaming them for abandonment or trying to destroy them is absurd

moreover, no they aren’t.
when the alliance actively turned on the elves it was after lorderaon was razed, and while the forsaken were part of the scourge

before that

  1. it wasn’t just lorderon that left the elves to die and caused most to view the alliance with disdain when the orcs seiged their home

  2. a leader of the alliance is the one that imprisoned the prince and a faction of the alliance that ultimately held the keys and did the work with no outcry from the alliance as a whole

  3. it wasn’t the forsaken that had jaina kill civilians with no repercussions for her actions

  4. stop trying to pretend stormwind gets off scot free of literally anything when they were a member of the alliance then and now
sure they weren’t the leaders but the U.S isn’t the leader of the U.N, i’d still blame the U.S if we allowed a U.N member state to do crappy things without speaking up about it at the bare minimum

It’s eye color, added tattoos, and stuff like changed voice lines and model rig tweaks. These are all things that differentiate the allied races that exist.

“Muh you just want blue eyed blood elves” is a reductive and disingenuous portrayal of the request for High Elves.

Why? Because High Elves are already playable, considering that you’re posting on one?

Also, I would love the Blue Eye options for them, considering makes more sense for mages.

Well, the issue that I see is that players want to separate SW to try and tie the High Elves to Lordaeron/forsaken/Slooveenie so that SW has no “claim” to their dealings with High Elves way back when and the debt, but all the humans seem to have come from one source and the bloodline that actually ended up in SW and not Lordaeron was the originator of the allegiance with Quelthalas, but the people are all still the same people when you go back to where they started, they just split up and then came back together.

Then you have people who want to shove Garithos in with SW and the Alliance of today to try and show why Quelthalas hated them and went Horde, but he was from Blackwood which is close to Quelthalas and not SW, but again all humans seem to have come from one place so I guess technically he IS lumped in with all of them.

Then people insist the old Horde is not the New Horde and that’s why it makes sense for Quelthalas to be okay joining the Horde, but then we go back to the human thing. If Old Horde and New Horde are separate then Old Alliance and New Alliance are as well and things like Garithos don’t count, just like the forest trolls joining with the Old Horde don’t count, or the scourge which I think included Forsaken before they got their free will (I haven’t looked into that bit much yet, but I probably will).

So either the Horde AND Alliance hurt the High Elves/Blood Elves in the past or neither did in my mind.

they don’t have any yet, but by all means…give an example of why those that abandoned silvermoon would suddenly decide tattoos are a big deal after thousands of years of not doing so

would work, but then it’s basically just jokes

why? how?
we know what high elves look like…we did before WoW was a thing, why would their model suddenly be different?

How. Many. Times. Are. People. Going. To. Make. This. Thread?

Many, many more.

Just more spam.

I’d predict it’ll be until the Alliance gets to play one of its most long-associated and iconic races, the High Elves. What is so hard for people to understand about it? People who want High Elves are passionate, long-term fans/customers who just want the Warcraft experience they were sold when they first became fans. It’s so simple.

the issue is that he was part of the alliance, it’s another incarnation of it but it has the same basic structure and rules it always did
if SW would come out and denounce him…or the kirin tor would say it was wrong to do great

the alliance may have disolved, but some of it’s member states (such as SW) said nothing during and have treated it as a non issue

bear in mind that elves are extremely racist
all races in azeroth are but elves take it up further

to them that “humans” engaged in negative behaviour and never bothered to do anything to try and make up for it doesn’t lend well
their treatment of sylvanas prior to BFA really…really didn’t help as it was a former general of theirs that got her freedom back that humans again viewed as an abomination that needs killed

the “new horde” has the backing of their ranger general, they had their doubts but as we see irl when heros back something the mind flocks to it

the alliance hasn’t taken steps to indicate itself as different than it was

the new horde also fights against the forest trolls

it did, but that last bit is the key there
they had no free will, they slaughtered elves left and right but they didn’t have a choice

they’re not held to account because they’re not accountable
they did nothing, at the time they were essentially just paralyzed while others worked through them

they did, just when they were seeking allies the alliance did it more recently and made no attempts to rebuild trust
the horde did it once, but have not only sought to be better (seemingly) but had the support of one of the greatest heros of the day

Was Garithos really all that bad though, considering?

idk, is it wrong to hate a race so much that you set them up for failure then execute them when they don’t obey your suicide mission and actually succeed?

Both factions have high elves. /thread

It’s not the desire that bothers me. It is the spamming of the topic that now, because of the addition of Void Elves, would not be reasonably implemented anyway. So what, Blizzard gives the Alliance High-Elves and now the pendulum swings in the opposite with Horde players flooding the forums about Elven bias toward them because the Alliance now has three Elven races? Two of those races being exactly the same, with different skins? I am not arguing the claim that original High-Elves should be added. I am just wondering why Blizzard would ever do that at this point in the game? They should have done this in TBC.

This wouldn’t happen. Everyone would continue playing the game just like they do now except longtime fans wouldn’t be deprived of what makes them enjoy Warcraft in the first place.

According to my thorough research they seem to sprout long lagomorph type ears and seem to develop an urge to take up percussion instruments.

A race that summoned Sargeras. I know its not right to hold a race accountable for a past mistake but… kind of a big one~ Plus we are cleaning up another elf issue soon with N’zoth.

Feel like they are more high maintenance elves than anything.

Oh, and another elf is having a huff atm too, i mean i don’t blame her but we have to add it to the elves causing trouble tally.

you do understand that the only difference between night elves and high elves at that point was their class right?
you’re literally justifying what sylvanas did to the night elves

Okay if they are racist and bothered by what “humans” did then they should also be bothered by orcs, trolls, and forsaken. Probably even more so if one looks at the history. Sluveenus is also not an elf anymore, just like forsaken aren’t humans. Or she is an elf and they are humans, in which case they have all been a sham since the beginning.

Again, if SW and the New Alliance are going to be held accountable for something like Garithos, then they should also be recognized for the good they did for the elves as well, and the Horde should also be held accountable for their own roles in the bad things that have happened to them. Can’t have one and not the other, sorry.

So her campaign as another member of the forsaken was a lie. She’s still an elf and their ranger general. Is that how it is?

The Horde hurt them twice, Alliance only once. Again, Second War and Third War with the Fall of Quelthalas.
