But legit, if at some point we have the classic trilogy to play forever as well as the main game - Blizz will have my sub for my entire life.

They won’t go beyond WotLK because Cata marks the turning point where retail chose to die as an MMO. Not only did they literally destroy vanilla WoW, but they doubled down on LFG/LFR and further perpetuated the hub city endgame.
WotLK prior to the LFG patch was peak WoW. If we could get ICC without LFG, that’d be an amazing xpac to play.
Honestly i enjoyed Cata, i just hope they do not venture beyond cata honestly and stop there. Loved Firelands 2.0, Dragon Soul raid

I eventually want to see Classic versions of every single expansion of this game, if nothing else for preservation reasons.
I can’t wait for wraith, as well as LFG. I actually really enjoyed LFG as well as the heroics.

Personally, I’m not sure how much I’d play of any expansion. I think I’d like to play TBC Classic. Possibly Wrath Classic. Cata was my favorite content of the game so far, at the time, but not sure if I’d spend much time revisiting.
I didn’t PVE at all during MoP or WoD, so might do that if those expansions are released at some point, but also might not.
However, regardless of all of that, I’m curious as to why you hope something doesn’t get released rather than simply choose not to play content you don’t enjoy.
Why do you need to be sure of what I hope they do or don’t do? Its my opinion. I think it would be a waste of time because cata is not nearly as popular. It will not have the pull classic-wotlk has.

I liked WotLK more than TBC. Even though it had its flaws but they all do.
I liked Cata as well up until they introduced LFR and especially liked how they made guilds such a big thing at the beginning of it. I also liked the raids in it.
However, Cata is where the world was destroyed and therefore I don’t think they’ll go there if they know what the people who want these “Classic” versions are going for.
I don’t need to be sure of it. I’m just curious.
