For Alliance: Ironforge. It’s as “centrally located” as Stormwind, meaning it’s not centrally located, but it’s the closest to it.

The only true capital city for the Alliance.
Lordaeron. Just vacuum out all that nasty plague and rebuil Capital City to its former glory.
As for the Horde, Thunder Bluff makes a lot of sense. Natural defense against any sort of ground-based assaults and sieges without air support, defensible chokepoints in the surrounding territory, lots of natural resources in Mulgore compared to Durotar and the Barrens. It just makes a lot of sense to convert into the new capital once you build up fortifications even further.
Psh forget a new city, let players or guilds have housing or something like it. Hahahah that is it, new xpack feature go me.
Ooooh no, you’re not skipping out on revamping Stormwind again.
Uh? An updated Silvermoon/Quel’thalas PLEASE.
Imagine Silvermoon Updated so that there isn’t a giant scar running through the middle, and half of the city which was abandoned was up and running again. Silvermoon is said to already be a thriving city once again, I would love to see this reflected in game. To see the zone full of life, and quests to reflect the return of the Sunwell and the now thriving culture of Quel’thalas and the elves once again.
I would go to Ironforge to plan revenge, probably to burn the responsible’s home with him inside.
If you have a chance of being destroyed on the other hand Blizz would never really hurt your children in the Horde.
More than bad the punching bag is the Alliance.
They’d just throw Chromie into the zone so you could visit them anytime you want.
hey zanda, we’re movin’ in!
You beat me to it.
I’d love an updated Silvermoon without facades…and with doors that open.
Ironforge looks pretty good.
Alliance get Iron Forge, obviously. Which is 100% fine by me. Give IF some love.
Its always been Ironforge.
The only reasons SW/Org aren’t also ghost towns is because you have to go there to enable warmode, and because unless you’re an engineer or have a bronto mount, you have to go there for AH (well any of the major ones will do, but they also have the portals and WM reason, so most people go to SW/Org over e.g. IF/TB).
On that note… I really don’t like that Blizzard continues to force us to go to them over minor things such as above. If you want people to keep them active, make more content centered around them. Otherwise, embrace the new major cities in the new major content zones. Because as-is, feels petty and not immersive that we can’t access AH or enter WM in e.g. Boralus.
Thats the main thing that bothers me about the other cities, all cities should offer the same services
Everyone keeps saying Ironforge but with one small Azerite bomb in the lava chambers, the whole place will erupt.
I just want to see this whole back in time thing expanded upon. It would be cool to ask chromie or whoever on retail servers, like, hey can we go back to the vanilla 1-60 versions of these zones? She would be like sure thing.
Idk this is something i feel would be really cool.
I agree, would bring a lot of the removed content back
We just need to handle a problem with our current “Warchief” and then I’m fairly certain that will not be an issue.
Build up a new night elf city around the world tree in Mount Hyjal. And revamp Silvermoon (finally). Otherwise Suramar for the Horde.
