If Soul Link no longer works in meta, change other things as well

Edit: They are changing it! Woot thanks blizzard!

One example:

Master Demonologist: Imp - Increases threat caused by 20% while in meta, reduces threat while not in meta.

This will make Felguard Master Demonologist viable for tanking, especially after the nerf to soul link.

-Thanks

Nah Deep Destro will still be BiS for tanking.

Soul Link was nerfed because of PvP and frankly was horrid for tanking PvE.

why not have two viable specs for tanking then? What is your counter argument? Soul link nerf also effects pve, even if the reason for the nerf was for pvp.

Going Demo just for demonic sacrifice to sac our imp for increased fire damage and going down 0/21/20. And later with 60 we can grab Ruin. That could be viable, Maybe something like this:

Its still viable, meta threat is extremely strong and I highly doubt 20% will do much.
A fine change regardless.

Also if Felguard benefits from each pet from master demonologist and demonic sac, unholy power should stack 4 times, giving felguard 80%/100% extra dmg.

I don’t think Locks need that much more Threat. Make it like +2% Threat.

Agreed. As it stands, I rerolled from warlock tank main for the last two phases over to druid. Warlocks are looking to be the squishiest tanks this phase, imo.

I would settle for just being able to click off the buff that lowers threat. Or just make it fall off when you enter meta.

New Warlock Changes: Warlocks with Metamorphosis active and the Master Demonologist talent will now gain increased threat generation when they summon an Imp or Felguard (was decreased threat generation).

We did it!

I kind of wish we could have meta and felguard. I’m finding soul link master demonologist felgaurd to be more tanky than meta. By far, actually.

I do kinda wish that our pets could tank if we really wanted. Would be really nice, but unsure if they would ever do that.

That would be pretty awesome. But I’m actually referring to the warlock itself being super tanky with felguard, who grants all four of the master demonologist buffs. Add soul link to that with the felguard and the non-meta lock is more tanky than the standard meta lock.

Of course no taunts so this isn’t really viable for raiding. But certainly in PvP.

Since meta can use unstable affliction and felguard locks cannot, that does give an advantage to meta at least. We’ll see how that plays out next week.

Ahh gotcha, I would have ran with that build for sure if soul link was still useable. Although I can see why they made the change, specifically more for pvp.

If you went soul link you’d go haunt. Meta + soul link is a meme that does no damage, pretty stupid nerf for something that wasn’t even a problem.
