Just really wanna know what stake the Horde would have personally, come Void-Lords, if we lost Sylvanas. It's bound to happen sometime with N'zoth and the rest. Would rather not be just the sidekick to the Alliance come next expansion, but's honestly how things are looking if Saurfang or Baine took over. Oh look here come my ranting again...
Sylvanas gives the Horde the tiniest stake in the whole Light/Void crap considering those otherworldly forces just wanna kill her.(though maybe the light just wants to subjugate her and the rest of the the horde...*Cought* Calia sucks *Cough*). Besides that, what else do we have? The Mag'har with all that Lightbound stuff?
Way I see it, the climax of Legion was a wasted opportunity to tie up some lose ends the Orcs and maybe even Belfs had with Sargeras, but all that was blown over for Velen and Illidan's Excellent Adventure. I liked their stories yeah, but the Horde had next to no representation in the overall plot (Unless you consider Highmountain and Nightborne stuff Horde representation, but it was only the Nightborne that got an inkling of Belf support when Tyrande gave them the middle finger.)
And I know there's gonna be those of you who say "Ah but the factions in the background" and yeah that probably be preferable, but Blizz has been setting everything as a stepping stool for Anduin to be "THE ALL MIGHTY GOOD BOY HERO WHO CAN DO NO WRONG" and if you don't believe me, go take a gander at his Legion comic then comeback. Would you really wanna see force the Green Jesus treatment be forced on anybody else again? Would it really be awful if Thrall or Ghost'Jin just sat the two down and taught them both to just compromise when it came to fighting the Alliance?
Annnnd hell I'm just speaking as a Horde player, barely touch Alliance. Don't think they'd get the short end of the stick if they outed Anduin as there leader and put in anyone else. Maybe stop treating him like the GOLDEN boy :) and maybe most players would care about about him.
Edit: Why couldn't you have just made Battle for Undercity come before Teldrassil, Blizz? I don't like to judge writers but this all feel like one big screw-up. I wanna be proven wrong for doubting the writing team but it's gotten just so hard. Spite is just driving me to leave the game instead of holding out for the alternative I hoped for, and this is the first expansion I've ever bought for the game.
If Saurfang takes over it will be because the creative development team is under the weird impression that Saurfang is still a heroic and honorable figure. So you can expect them to ignore or retcon the pile of garbage that they've just put out.
So, onto what you specifically said you want to know. The Void Lords are intent on devouring reality, the Horde lives in reality, our stakes are the same stakes they always are, survival.
And now what I think you want to know. Can a Saurfang run Horde force enough of a distinction between Alliance and Horde questing to guaranty that the Horde actually gets a story. The answer is of course no, but that's not to Saurfang's discredit. The Horde's leader during Legion was Sylvanas, and we still ended up playing second fiddle to the Alliance. If the plot turns to a shared threat, we will end up working for humans.

If Saurfang leads, what's next is 1 expansion later, he'll die after getting stabbed in the chest by a lvl 1 mook, and then Warchief Gallywix will have the Horde attack the Alliance.
We get to follow along with the Alliance vs. the Void, just like we did with the Legion.
We'll be good little meatshields, peons, and golden-eyed lightbound slaves for our Alliance moral superiors as they teach us to redeem ourselves for being a bunch of eeevil genocidal savages.

Blood elves will lead the void related content. They'll probably lose the Sunwell to Alleria.
haven't you guys seen son of the wolf?
anduin will literally lead the final charge eventually.
embrace brad-pitt!

But then that would lead to faction conflict again. And if we're taking Sylvanas out for all the crap she's done now, Alleria would definitely have kick the bucket.
They might destroy the sunwell before faction conflict ends. The void definitely threatened to do it last time Alleria was there.11/03/2018 05:02 PMPosted by Grahntorinu11/03/2018 04:55 PMPosted by TrengBlood elves will lead the void related content. They'll probably lose the Sunwell to Alleria.

So that'd drive the Belves and i guess the Belf fans even more towards Sylvanas' need to destroy the Alliance. What sense would there be for them to tolerate the Alliance come next Expansion if they either let that happen or failed to hold the Velves back from doing it?

/rofl
A Horde race getting actual relevance on a neutral expac, yeah right Treng. If only the only part of what you say will be the Velves getting the Sunwell and the Belves thanking them for it Aethas-style...
Maybe I should just change the title of this thing to "Should Saurfang and Sylvanas Co-exist"...

They can't.
Essentially he dies pathetically and then Warchief Geyarah leads us into an actual war of genocide against the Draeni. Rinse Repeat, we all die a little more inside.

I won't even be mad at that.
No it wouldn't.11/03/2018 05:12 PMPosted by Grahntorinu11/03/2018 05:03 PMPosted by Treng...They might destroy the sunwell before faction conflict ends. The void definitely threatened to do it last time Alleria was there.

Answer if you think this is so.11/03/2018 06:53 PMPosted by Treng...No it wouldn't.

11/03/2018 06:53 PMPosted by TrengNo it wouldn't.
See? Even you agree they´d be portrayed as totally groveling and totally grateful to their Alliance overlords.
Really what's next would be players would see what happens and wish they sided with Lord Bhelen instead, because it's people like him who get crap DONE.
11/03/2018 06:53 PMPosted by TrengNo it wouldn't.
No it wouldn't drive the Belves to Sylvanas or no it wouldn't drive the Belves to want to destroy the Alliance like how Teldrassil did for the Nelves and Sylvanas/Horde? Explain what you mean or don't say anything at all.
Horde starts singing kumbayas while becoming the victims of the Alliance Great Sea slave trade. It's only fitting since Saurfang enjoys being Anduin's slave.
