If PvP is about Skill?

could still do that with what op said prob even much better then this rng fest vault stuff or unrated bg gear locked behind a ranked rating etc .

That’s your opinion, I’m actually pretty nice usually… also I’ve yet to state i’m a good player, I’m decent at the game and getting better, been a while since I really took it seriously, learning all over again. I just know I’m more than likely better than you’ll ever be for the sole fact that I don’t look to blame others or gear… I look within to see what I can change, did I use my CD’s properly? Did I burst properly? Etc etc.

You can get the same "arena gear " if you do Battlegrounds only BTW. You can easily get the 550 conquest point by doing the daily 1 win in the “qwick match” section . You will get 200 ilvl gear “unrated”. For people who dont do arena AT all. I find it fair . Having a full 200 set vs people with 184 from honor gear is quite the difference . You should have fun in most bg.

In all fairness, I get your point and don’t necessarily think you’re wrong–but wouldn’t you find the game a bit redundant if gear suddenly wasn’t an applicable commodity? For me personally, I had a lot of fun starting off grinding for my pvp blues, then upgrading them to the 184 epics, then getting my 213’s out of vault, and buying 200’s with conquest then grinding to upgrade them to 213, and now having grinded to upgrade all my ranked pieces so far to 220.

The gearing system has given me an excuse to do unrated BGs for the first time in years since the honor from them enables me to upgrade my gear. Also, I guess it may be gringe pub stomping, but it’s fun to queue into a random BG and 1v3 people as a Healer. lol

Keep hiding under a hidden profile.

Man, I must have really hurt your feelings with the truth. Look within, you’ll be serviceable one day… just gotta accept it’s you and not the gear.

The profile isn’t really hidden. I’m not sure why people bother with it. I think it does hide your forum activity effectively, however.

Not in pvp, they could always advance or upgrade the honor gear to maintain the base standard as the expansion went on. But pvpers should all have the same gear, there should never be a question on ilvlv. Should always be skill and or player comp.

When has everyone had the same gear in the past 16 years.

An alt thats not even playing the same expansion fantastic…

Someone who actually had brain cells would have found his Rogue. :woman_shrugging:

Is he one of THOSE weirdos who name characters the same thing with a different accented letter? Hah what a bunch of jokers.

like me <.<

You thinking knowing my main is going to change the fact that you’re whining about gear? It doesn’t change the facts… taking away gear in pvp isn’t going to stop people from absolutely rolling you, you are just making excuses, but please continue to say thats not the point of your post… everyone knows the truth.

the problem is wow is capped on skill you can do with any one class against another. there’s only so many fights where you are learning before its just another monk, just another priest.

additionally, the low APM rate of wow doesn’t really allow for a high degree of skill spread in terms of true dueling.

those combined mean that there is an upper limit on pvp skill in terms of dueling. what makes a glad a glad is their win formula/comp, the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts.

what this means is that you are no better than any other glad or r1 when found alone in AV.

are you talking about a 1v1? Because I got bad news for you if you are…

Yea no… its that, but also timing, experience, ability to adjust on the fly, understanding their class in and out. Saying it’s just formula and comp… is insane… it’s so much more than that.

Lemme find some PVERs to set up the meta comps and tell them the formula and see what happens.

all of that only gets you to duelist. to reach glad you need a working formula. when each players individual skill maxes out, its only when you start interacting them synergistically that you get the force multiplication effect.

It’s clear you and I don’t know what it takes to be a top tier player… you are making assumption as it’s mostly “formula” and “comp” we haven’t been at the pinnacle.
