Similar to making past expansion Mythic Raid mounts available through random drops, it’s time to do the same for PVP Elite mounts! Make them random drops after wins or purchasable through honor, tokens, or other means.

Yep, that’s not the same as mythic raid mounts. Make gladiator mounts available in a similar fashion.
Like me, you probably got your Felsteel Annihilator mount from your defeat of Mythic Archimonde before the next raid release. Are you offended when someone gains it as a random drop now? I’m guessing probably not.
They’re completely different game modes. One can be done with literally one button lol

The difficulty to obtain isn’t even a variable in this equation. The variables are PVE is afforded this luxury so shouldn’t PVP also be afforded this opportunity.
Imagine qing above glad cutoff and every game you win has a 0.1-1% chance of just giving you a Gladiator mount from a prior season LMFAO.

How is that different from the Mythic Raid mounts? Very few players earned several of the mythic mounts that I currently have. I was, in no way, offended when others could now get them in random drops.
Also, you’re only as good as your last fight. Pulling up in your two expansions old glad mount really doesn’t say much. No one thinks differently when seeing my Brutal Glad mount, LOL.
A single season of free rating off M+ players before they get the 1 or 2 retired elite sets they like before quitting again will not save PVP.

People refuse to leave Legacy stuff as Legacy. No, no giving out old glads, blood weapon enchant and 2200 cata elite sets because you got 500 points in your battle pass pal.
The loss of FOMO doesn’t bother me. It’s the unchecked entitlement and short sight of it.
You claim it will bring increased activity, and I agree with you. It will for a season.
Then the long term consequence is ‘why play X in a bad season when I can wait until it’s FoTM and get everything I skipped.’ Reroll culture has made the content suck enough, no good reason to help it further along.

First off, I’m not a troll and pretty much despise those who are. This idea is really about bringing parity to rewards that were finally brought to the PVE community to the PVP community. I do acknowledge and agree with your concern that someone shouldn’t be able to grind those things out in a season. Make it .1% drop for wins over 1800 or 2k rating or something like that. I do believe that will generate excitement and will bring pvpers back. I used to raid 5 days a week and do arenas after raids and on off days. You may spark today’s PVE players to get back into PVP that way. Only problem now though is that the PVE grind is so massive they don’t have time for PVP anymore. M+ has kind of ruined that.

This event is super short sighted. Awesome, you got a whole bunch of people to play for a month. This has zero value now and you still haven’t created a new system to draw in new players long term.
But hey, makes more sense to give away old stuff and lay off 9000 people for them quarterly profit postings eh? 
This is at least the most reasonable version of it I’ve ever seen. That could help participation if getting the drop you want is like Tusks of Mannoroth rare.

Not in a billion years.
Reaching each PvP bracket should give you just one piece of the Gladiator mount. For example Combatant gives the left wing. Challenger gives right the wing etc. and reaching Gladiator will give you the head.
So at the end of the season you either have full Gladiator mount or just some abomination.
I think this will help with the PvP participation for sure !
