Why would they, it’s speed is the only advantage it has over old school flight.
As fast ?? then nope
Because convenience is always king
It ends up being a battle between pressing forward or playing a management game, eventually the stubborn will also switch
Steady is mainly used for questing in small areas more than anything, or when you need more precision.
But Skyriding is flat out superior for traversal, you move significantly faster than Steady Flying.
There are a few white knights on this topic that try to bully others that post on this subject…they like to call some players lairs or fakes but hey its their small world to live if it makes them feel superior I guess.
Like you tried to bully me with ~your condition~ and to silence me?
bp.
I like the way you think; we could use the Blizzard Token to finance faster transitions between flight types. Instant = 1.00, 1.5s = 0.50, 5s = free.
I like how everyone has forgotten there are 2 speeds of static flying.
Nope. I use Dragonriding now because it’s mach speed map to map.
If the old way was just as fast then I’m rolling back to BC flying. FWIW, I do like dragonriding. I lament that we lost a quality of life option to switch back and forth with ease because most of the other mounts weren’t programmed to dragonride yet.
And that plan is backfiring as more and more people reveal that they are using TBC normal flying more and more now.
Had they not put in the 5 second toggle switch most of these issues would go away.
Only on paper. As soon you learn fast static flying speed, you mysteriously unlearn the slower one. I would prefer to keep the slower one as an option, because sometimes all I want is fly around and chill while watching the world from above.
Personally, I still use old flying. I don’t like the new flappy bird style of flying.
Outside of the those races challenges they put into the game, pretty sure most wouldn’t. The only benefit to it is the speed. You look super dumb flying with it.
Yes! I’m hoping if I keep saying Flappy Bird flight enough it’ll catch on.
You are indeed allowed to play free as you choose. Thanks for the cookie!
honestly, I very rarely ever use steady flying because I find the new system more fun to engage with
I would definitely use static flight if it was as fast as dragonriding. I do however like the animations of dragonriding better than static flying. The mounts generally look much more natural in their gestures while dragonriding than in static flight.
There shouldn’t be a pathfinder on Steady flight while Dragon Flying there isn’t…either none has any restrictions or both have same restrictions…they need to stop treating Disabled players or medical issue players as second class Citizens of Azeroth…
They really need to increase the speed old flying by 200% at the very minimum.
The delay made me quit using dragonriding.
Yeah flight switching toggle was designed to discourage use both TBC normal flying and DR in terms of frequency but it seems to have an impact that was likely not anticipated.
