If no one knew your Mythic+ rating

Would you still push? If you were the only one to see it and it couldn’t be shared -would you still do certain dungeons you possibly hate? But, you do them rn anyway for that score?

I feel like World of Warcraft has become World of M+

I used to enjoy keys a lot. Did low keys, medium and high on various accounts. One day I was like, I’m out. I did it for myself a couple times to push and see but then I realized I was pushing to prove I was gud so other’s could see on one account. I was like, I’m getting off this hamster wheel. I’m not having fun anymore but still doing so, so that I have a score to show off?!

This isn’t hate on M+ I hope it always stays for the people who enjoy it. But, I’ve talked to too many people and listened to some podcosts where ppl are almost foaming at the mouth for their score. For some it seems they fall into a trap of … just a score vs fun.

No. I do not enjoy M+ at higher levels. PvP, raiding, collection building are far more enjoyable for me. The only thing M+ has going for it is it has a shorter time commitment.

I won’t ever go “hardcore” on keys.

If there’s a reward like a mount, I’ll push for that, but I’m not killing myself to be the number one player in the world.

I still need to keep it somewhat fun. Chasing rating does not seem fun to me.

It’s funny because I like to be silly , act weird and like a noob its entertaining, don’t hate but also, when I was gud, I had to prove I was gud. But, to who? A few ppl in wow? Know what I mean? Now I sit back and I’m like, wut a silly mentality I had.

Oh they would know pretty quickly that its non-existent.

ha! It’s just sad when I see people harping about the score vs fun.

I would get whiplash from the /kick after one pack of trash.

“Why is this guy constantly in Whirlwind?”

Uh oh… :stuck_out_tongue:

Unless you’re north of 3500io (in s3) no one cares if someone can see their io.

It’s about getting into groups with other people who have proven they can do the content at that level, given that - other players must be able to see it, and a way it’s not a brag thing for 99% of key runners. It’s simple, easily quantifiable RPG progression

Was that super impressive in season THREE?! 3.5k?

This is the bigger picture. Players push for high score so they can more easily group with other competent individuals.

I get it… 100%

Just talking, listening - it seems some wouldn’t push as high if it was kept as private information.

While I dislike current M+ format and I mostly try to get my M+ done the faster I can because of the rewards, people pushed before raider io was made officially in the game. So they would still push because that’s what they enjoy.

It’s decent for sure, north of that and into 4K not everyone can do. 3k is pretty standard for those who run keys.

I know 3k io is like a kink to get to… even someone in a podcast I was listening to, he was like “I gotta get to 3k io!”

I’m just sitting back like … :grimacing:

3k became the magic number because of the Portals and 278 conduits. That’s why it wasn’t as big of a deal in Season 2.

why just worry about keys what your asking is something that exists for all endgame. you ain’t getting invited to raids with no experience either over people who have it same as pvp. i’m getting to the age i could care less anymore did i push before ya i did enough to get invited to what i wanted to do in endgame.

I do M+ really only for gear and sometimes KSM mount. After that, don’t care at all about rating.

If nobody could see others’ M+ raiting, there would be a huge amount of failed keys.

We did fine in Legion. Not many people used the addon for raider io back then.
