If Lore is the community manager

why does he never communicate?

Maybe he’s tired of peoples’ whining over (pretty much) nothing.

I know I would be, with how most of the forum posts go these days.

You made a post about a missing headband on a pet …

If thats the reason, he should totally resign now. There is no reason for him to be the CM if he can’t handle people’s opinions of the game, especially when they’re criticism or feedback.

Then he probably shouldn’t be community manager because everybody’s opinion isn’t always going to be rainbows and unicorns. Its kind of something you have to put up with as a community manager.

Ythisens should be made community manager imo

He… already is?

The CMs have various responsibilities so we see primarily Yth and Bornakk here on the WoW forums. There are people attached to the world team, people attached to the specific region teams, etc.

Today on GD. We comment on a person’s job, while having no clue on what their job description actually is.

More news on this breaking report at 6.

While it seems kind of backwards it doesn’t surprise me. If he’s the head manager, he probably rarely gets his hands dirty. I’d say his job is to train and direct communication both on the forums and on twitter. He probably also gathers data and presents it to the development team. And he prepares those Q&A sessions.

He leaves the dirty work of direct communication to the underlings. Ever see Gordan Ramsey be head chef in a kitchen? Hee’s directing (and by that I mean yelling) and plating and shouting out orders. He basically never actually COOKS anything.

Oh my god you aren’t even kidding. That is the funniest hypocracy I’ve ever seen.

“Why are people complaining about things that dont even matter”
“Also FIX MY TURTLE PET ITS CRITICAL TO THE GAME”

I’ve seen the way he communicates and I like him better when he remains silent.

I think CMs have different duties.

I mean, I worked for state government once and we had a catch-all communication title but duties were really diverse between positions. I was promoting aviation and making education materials for kids and suddenly was asked to write a speech for a government official one day because other people with my title did that, lol.

I don’t know how the CM title works at Blizzard, but probably CM is a catch-all title for a variety of duties.

As much as he tries to hide it Lore is still the same smug, crappy druid tank from Tankspot. He will never be anything else.

That is actually hilarious and a great example of how hypocritical people are on these forums.

“Don’t whine about anything I wouldn’t whine about” is more like it.

He’s straight cringe tho, I wouldn’t want him fired from blizzard however I think he does a sub par job at his position, he literally had a twitter breakdown a month ago

This is a very interesting thread.

He does post very very rarely, but when Ornyx and Yth came along he essentially got a promotion? Or kind of moved to another avenue with the Q&As and all. Probably not an actual promotion, but he has less headaches with the forums I guess.

I understand your sentiment. Game director and Community manager.

BUT THE SILLY THING IS CALLED DEVELOPER Q&A. Hire me as a reporter and i’ll actually live interview a developer. We could switch out one every month and go over what they ACTUALLY do for the company. It would be fun like some of these streamers. Win win. All the important questions get answered and the public meets some employees and learns about the company.
