Then it shouldnt be gated this long. Just this week LFR sire denathrius opened up and its just wrong.
Like I get the whole gating LFR till the week after mythic or w/e But JUST now sire denathrius LFR opened. Like the season is basically over. its been ages since shadowlands released and just now casuals get to exp the sire denathrius fight… thats just wrong.

I’m surprised but pleasantly surprised.

i think the thought process was to kinda incentivise people through time gating to possibly come up to normal. get a structured raid group and all that.
i dont agree with it. but i think thats what they where going for.

But if they don’t gate it 90% of the players will be subbed only for 1 month and quit…

If the purpose is to strictly see the story/fight, then you don’t need gear from LFR.
Thanks for agreeing with me OP, very cool.

it shouldn’t but Blizzard doesn’t care, the only thing they care is that this form of time gating made the casuals wait, and therefore pay, for more game time while waiting for this to unlock.

Should be a solo scenario

So the actual intent of the post is about gear from the last boss?

i think if the purpose is to see the story…
it should be more scenerio based instead of 30 smucks.

you say that as if afking WQ doesnt given you a higher ilevel. if they went a solo route with NPCs in it that casual will do it to see the story and then gear through casual pvp or upgrading their convenant armor. which is all purple 197 gear.

Speaking of WQs, I thought the item level bump would hit 200, because 184 was the previous level… but I think it just went up +10. I haven’t seen anything above 194 since I got renown 29.

ah the WQ rewards went up. i guess i should go do my renown stuff instead of afking the forums. but man, being sick really takes the desire to do anything that requires effort away. lol

It’s because casuals like us are not ActiBlizzard’s target audience anymore. They make more off of ESports and the trends in the gaming industry apparently. I would think casuals would bring them tons of money. Maybe enough of us haven’t quit? I am over a week, no log in. The forums though? That’s another beast to conquer! LOL

But for some reason (not sure why) I have a lot of blue items rewards.
they do that cuz casuals with enchanting whined that they had no way of getting shards in legion without doing normal or heroic dungeons, cuz all the WQ rewards were epic. it’s not even there for the chance of it being an upgrade. it’s there as a node for enchanters. lol

Outside of Callings for the gold, pretty much all I’ve been doing with WQs the last few weeks is cherry picking the ones with epics to DE.

Why? I can’t raid because I don’t have the time to do it… why can’t I do this boss on the LFR? not all players can be in front of their pc for hours…

It is relevant. Just not for how OP thinks.
If you’re just interested in the story and killing the raid boss for the tier, delaying the last boss in the easiest mode either forces you to invest in the game for normal/heroic groups, and possibly have your play time extended as you play with a new friend group or join a new guild, or wait until LFR is out.
This means that Blizzard get an extra couple of months of sub time out of you, as you’re either invested in the game (and thus not unsubbing), or you’re waiting to get 10 stacks of Determination on Denathrius and hear his silky smooth voice lines.
It’s absolutely not a coincidence that LFR gets delayed beyond the point where the average raider has beaten normal, the good raider has beaten Heroic and the truly top tier have beaten Mythic.
