If it carried over to Classic+, what feature/effect/reality from SOD would prevent you playing?

Pretty simple premise. What feature/effect/reality from SOD would prevent you playing?

This includes “states of X Y Z” function within the game. The state of PVP. The state of PVE. New class roles like tank/healer etc

Anything you can think of that SOD introduced, that would prevent you playing Classic+ if it was carried over.

The fact you think we are getting a “classic plus” and currently are not playing “classic plus” is beyond me lol. Wake up people this IS classic plus. It’s classic with changes…wonder what that’s called ? Hope you have a great day Sawyer :people_hugging:

Please don’t derail the topic, thank you.

Trivialized honor and BG rep grinds. Also PVP gear being trash compared to the PvE gear.

do I get to be the first one to say “incursions”?

welcome to the Season of Discovery forums! hope you have a mediocre (not too bad, but definitely not too good) day Baseg :people_hugging:

if they re-released season of discovery as classic+. During SoD I want the devs to shoot their shot with ideas. Turn Azshara into a League of Legends style BG, let shamans and paladins be played on either faction, and for BGs make teams cross faction.

So what will stop me from playing classic+ is if we get what we have now.

I wish they would get back to character building in the sense that each class brings its own toolkit with unique quirks to each group.

Being able to do the same things as other players reduces the need to invite those classes that you otherwise typically could utilize. I doubt we see the requirement for priest in Naxx because of this new pillar they’ve adopted.

The damage output is way too high which in turn makes players forgo those toolkits since the faster a target dies the less opportunity it has for mechanics.

I wish they would read their original pillars of classic and ask themselves why they’re excluding the world as a player and instead still hyper focused by the instanced content.

Originally I thought the entire point of raiding and gearing up was so when war stuff happened in the open world you were more equipped to fight the opposite faction for control or denial of an area, i.e. the Scarab Lord event. That’s one of the biggest things that made classic for me anyways.

Only one paused leveling phase. Phase 1 seemed to almost universally be viewed as the best as it was the most unique feeling. After that, everything felt like it went downhill, and it just wasn’t as fun.

I’d also keep the ashenvale pvp event and have it scaleable to any level.

the only thing that would keep me from playing is the reintroduction of GDKP. the removal was the one thing SOD did right.

can we stop repeating this? p1 was good because the game was new. honeymoon phase. there were literally nothing unique about p1 compared to other phases. 1 easy raid and some runes and a terrible pvp(e) event. and probably the most imbalanced phase of all with hunter pets 1v5 or tanking the raid. and yet people say p1 was the best. its because it was new, end of story.

The same devs being allowed to work on classes in SoD would have classic plus dead on arrival

PvP event was actually good. Dungeons were more diverse and rewarding compared to the lvl 40 / 50 cutt offs. Yes it was new still, but that was also when they put in the most effort with runes and how to acquire said runes.

That’s literally every raid ever.

Far better than any of the other events they added.

I had a good time using eyes of the beast to solo people. Was funny AF.

Disagree. I think the other phases definitely diminished from having more cutoffs instead of going directly to 60 after that, but I think one paused phase felt good. 3 paused phases did not though.

nothing i think everything in sod is faithful to vanilla. the only thing to prevent me from playing is no new content or an increased level cap from 60.

You certainly got there before me, Pal.

It’s been heavily hinted by the devs that SoD was a beta for a Classic+ project. I guess quite a few things are beyond you but that doesn’t mean they’re not true. It just mean you’re behind.

My take : Not sure I’d like leveling phases again. I’d rather they shoot for a max level balance from day 1 although I wouldn’t mind added leveling content.
Incursion was the most disgusting cr*p they could come up with and anyone remotely linked to that sewer flavored idea should be banned from any potential classic+ project.

I’m not sure I like the rune system so much. I’d rather have new abilities either standard or available/buffed through talents.

Some of the class quests for gear or runes where great. I’d like to see A LOT more class quest so that leveling doesn’t feel exactly the same from one alt to another.

Please no group/raid finder.

If there is no progressive expansion, SOD is the peripheral plus.

SoD exposes what vanilla could have been before the BC cash stop. An incomplete game with its own potential.

That’s what intrigues me about SoD.
