If I wanted to make a Pyroblast One Shotting Machine

Would this do the trick? I can’t post links yet so here’s this:

31/18/2

*Arcane:
–2/2 Arcane Subtlety
–4/5 Arcane Focus
–5/5 Arcane Concentration
–2/2 Wand Spec
–2/2 Magic Attunement
–1/1 Arcane Resilience
–3/3 Arcane Meditation
–2/2 Improved Counterspell
–1/1 PoM
–5/5 Arcane Mind
–3/3 Arcane Instability
–1/1 Arcane Power

*Fire
–5/5 Impact
–5/5 Ignite
–2/2 Flame Throwing
–1/1 Pyroblast
–2/2 Burning Soul
–2/3 Master of Elements

*Frost
–3/3 Elemental Precision

Naturally this won’t be raid friendly, but I feel like it will be extremely fun to incinerate people with an AP PoM Pyro.

When running POM+Pyro you really want more than just the one trick pony.

A couple of things though. Drop the wand specialization. No one stands stills and begins to wand in pvp unless they are oom, and at that point, it doesn’t matter anyways. Secondly, if you want to take more than just Pyro in fire, take more than you have. Your fire portion is half-baked. There’s some variations within the POM+Pyro spec, but usually they fall into deep arcane with Pyro, or half arcane/fire plus frost on the side. Also, lacking the defensive nature of frost, mana-shield is your goto shield in pvp, and many therefore opt for the deep arcane build with improved mana-shield and arcane mind plus stacking all the int they can get away with.

Last build, is what I usually ran with (got a little gimmick when encountering frost mages)

Don’t forget you will need the trinket from ZG or MC to really make this shine.

I’ve played it for awhile. It isn’t really as much fun as you might think. Far too cool down dependent. The setup is too easy and you give up so much in the way of defensive talents and battleground control.

In vanilla I had a Mage lvl 39 twink… was one of the most fun times I had.

I completely decked him out in +fire damage gear, and stood on top of the WSG front entrance, and spammed Pyro…

I would one-shot crits twinks sometimes xD

Thanks everyone for the input! I’ll take all of this info into consideration and try to make it work!

Yeah, it’s really cooldown dependent (and a gimmick at that), but my favorite thing in Legion/BfA was the Pyroclasm talent which gave you beeg non-instant Pyroblasts.

(Well in Legion it was tied to a Legendary but still was the same thing)

…Sadly Fire was mostly killed in BfA, but I just wanna relive those days of just throwing giant fireballs of death.

You might wand a flag tapper if silenced. This is why my preferred weapon for pvp is a wand.

That’s for sure. I only ran it because back then I was sorta a noob still, and people told me it was great when you get to global people. While true, I also quickly became tired of it and switched to frost and sometimes elemental.

Yeah, but you don’t need to waste two talents points for doing that though.

Ohhh, also, no thread about POM+Pyro without this one!! :sunglasses:

If you are doing pvp, you only need 4% to hit.

So make sure Arcane focus and Elemental Precision are no more than 2 points in.
