Sham ? I dont know

Void elf seems like the choice. Just use all the void customizations and you’re set!

Void elf and undead seem like the only two thematic choices but your spells are going to be holy looking either way.

I liked mechangnome priest for this. I imagined the light like energy that I used as a battery to charge me.

Wasn’t faith or madness really. Just “energy” in my eyes. Think like how blood elves used the light. :bulb:

though they’ll never actually implement cosmetics to reflect it, the powers of the following priests (generally) don’t come from the Light.

  • Trolls/Zandalari (from the Loa of their choosing)
  • Night Elves/likely Nightborne (Elune)
  • Earthen (Caretakers that utilize Titan magic to mend and protect)
  • Kul Tirans (Tidesages that worship the Tidemother, a mysterious sea goddess)
  • Tauren (Seers that follow An’she [the sun] and Mu’sha [the moon], the eyes of the Earthmother and treated as gods in their own right)
  • Undead (Lorewise 99% of them are using shadow magic even for other purposes like healing because holy magic doesn’t feel good to them)
  • Void Elves (as above)

The only correct answer is Forsaken. Welcome to the Horde, brother. Dark Lady watch over you.

shadow priest is really your only choice.

Alliance side, Void Elves are probably the best one. Horde side, probably Trolls.

Either way you’re gonna have the Light themed spell effects, but you can pretend that the powers are from the void or loa.

dang imagine if daddy blizz cared enough to make their spells actually reflect that. or give those races an opt-in between the classical light looking effects and their own

Funny, I want to play Priest(Preferably DPS) but I hate Shadow/Void theme stuff.

I’m still hoping for a fourth spec to solve that. :slightly_smiling_face:

Void Elf because of the racial that turns them purple or Forsaken because of lore making them mostly shadow users.

Also, go discipline, and pick shadow covenant to turn some of your healing spells to shadow.

I’m also hoping to get a light themed ranged dps one day.

Yeah I’d say Undead or the Void too. Actually works because of the duality of Priest in WoW.

Default lore for Gnome Priests (if memory serves) is that they use the Light as a medical tool. They’re still using the Light but in a seemingly secular capacity. Take that for what you will.

Plus the facial hair. Ok. Strong contender. Indont remember if their racials are good.

If it ever happened, I see the groundwork already there for Blizz reworking disc into a DPS spec rather than creating a 4th spec for priests. Adjust a few abilities, scale up the damage, scale back the healing. Actually, disc could probably be a ‘support’ spec like augvoker instead of a full healer role.

Possibly, would make a lot of disc players angry though lol.

Looking at Legion and the fact they get Light’s Wrath, it’s baffling why this wasn’t a thing in the first place.

Don’t remind me about Legion. I spent the first half of that expansion mostly in disc spec because shadow was basically unplayable outside of group content. Disc did more DPS against outdoor mobs and was unkillable because healer privilege. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Yikes, didn’t know Shadow had it that rough back then.
